– Teaching small classes and tutoring middle and high school students, with a focus on SAT reading and writing skills (about 4 years)
– Worked with pre-kindergarten children as a full-time teacher's aide at a non-profit early childhood center for homeless families (3 months)
– Editing/proofreading English text on various topics, including Korean students' college essays, professional TV scripts, books, etc. (15+ years)
– Interned at a Korean workplace (국가인권위원회), thus familiar with Korean work culture (9 months)

– I am caring, calm, positive, friendly, and approachable. My shy Korean students (ages 5, 10, 16, etc.) especially felt comfortable around me.
– I respect each student as I would an adult. I believe in encouraging their self-confidence and creativity as much as their English language ability.

– Excellent command of English grammar, spelling, pronunciation (native US English speaker)
