I hold a master’s degree in International Development with Conflict and Humanitarian Action from the University of Bath. I also hold a Bachelor’s degree in Economics. I have a level 5 TEFL certification. My academic background, coupled with my TEFL certification, positions me as a well-qualified candidate for this role. As a fluent English speaker, I am confident in my ability to effectively communicate with students from various linguistic backgrounds. My teaching experience revolves around mentoring schemes for struggling students. This was aimed and adapted towards their skill set, towards improving their behaviours and academic outcomes. This was completed whilst I was still a student as part of a mentoring and peer tutoring scheme, part-time over 3 years. This mostly consisted of 1-on-1 tutoring to create a targeted experience to each student. However, group exercises and sessions were also taught. Additionally, I have experience working with diverse student populations, and I am adept at tailoring my teaching methods to meet the unique needs of ESL learners.

My teaching philosophy revolves around my academic background in International Development. I focused my research and projects towards the importance of adaptability of education internationally. I believe in the availability of education being accessible to all. I employ to create an engaging and effective learning experience for all students. I have developed a keen understanding of diverse cultures and student needs. I am adaptable and thrive in multicultural settings, fostering an atmosphere of mutual respect and understanding. By utilising my TEFL skills and experience in mentoring, I hope to expand my intercultural communication and I am excited about the opportunity to contribute to increasing learning opportunities. I am also eager for the opportunity to live and relocate, with the work-life balance that this role offers.

I have ambition to immerse myself in the local culture, learn from my students, and contribute to their language development. I am impressed by its commitment to fostering a supportive and innovative learning environment. I am ambitious about being a part of a team that values not only academic success but also the overall growth and well-being of the students.
