To whom it may concern;
I am writing to express my interest in the teaching position at your school. With a multicultural upbringing, rigorous academic training, and a passion for language and history, I bring a global perspective and strong intellectual curiosity to the classroom.
Originally from China and raised in Canada, I completed my early education across both countries and was awarded the Ontario Scholar designation for academic excellence. I hold a CELTA certification and began my undergraduate studies at Queen’s University in Kingston before transferring to Germany, where I completed my degree. I later earned a Master’s degree in Central European Comparative Studies from Charles University in Prague, graduating summa cum laude. This multidisciplinary program, rooted in history and cultural analysis, deepened my appreciation for diverse perspectives and critical thinking.
I have lived and studied in five countries and am fluent in English, Mandarin, French, and German, with additional exposure to Polish, Czech, Latin, Russian, and Finnish. This linguistic and cultural breadth enables me to connect with students from a variety of backgrounds and to foster inclusive, engaging learning environments.
Currently, I am seeking an opportunity to contribute to a vibrant, international academic community, recognizing the dedication to education, curiosity, and intercultural understanding.
Please find my CV attached. I would be happy to provide further information or references at your convenience. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Warm regards,
Robert Ding
