I believe in creating and maintaining an equitable, friendly, and inclusive environment to allow space for optimal learning–in all its various forms. I actively, in a consistent manner, work to preemptively access every situation from multiple perspectives to make an informed, educated decision on what actions I will take. I am reliable, trustworthy, and compassionate. I constantly am reading, writing, taking courses, and pushing myself to learn more and to remain up-to-date on new methods, so I can hone my skills sharing knowledge with others. I take the responsibility of teaching others seriously because I recognize these moments in the classroom may affect learners' future quality of lives. My experiences as a student, as a writer, as an editor, as a tutor, and as a professional librarian have forged a profound passion for the English language, for storytelling, and for sharing the wealth of knowledge.
