I am a confident Speech and Language Therapist who has spent the past 3 years working in schools in the UK.
My strengths lie in building rapport with children, supporting and developing their skills as individuals and implementing changes with a child-centred mindset. I thoroughly enjoy working with children and have experience of working with individuals between the ages of 2-21 years old. I am incredibly motivated to see success in the workplace and will go above what is required for the children's benefit.
I believe my current job role has given me many transferable skills to become and English Teacher. I am incredibly familiar with planning and developing session plans, holding individual and group sessions, being an engaging educator and liaising with parents.
I have had an interest in teaching abroad for a few years and decided it is finally time in my career to achieve this. I visited South Korea in Summer 2024 and enjoyed the culture immensely. It would be an honour to work here as an English teacher.
I am in the process of completing my TEFL qualification, I have a 2:1 degree in Speech and Language Therapy from De Montfort University.
As a person, I am social, charismatic and disciplined. I would describe myself as having a joy for life. I enjoy learning new skills and challenging myself as I am adaptable and creative. I believe in teamwork and enjoy developing relationships with those I work with as I believe success is a collective achievement.
I am proficient in English, with excellent written skills. I was the recipient of the Dave Rowley Dissertation Project Award 2021 for my research into Cystic Fibrosis. I am also proficient with technology and producing interactive session plans. I have been learning Korean and continue to study. In my free time, I enjoy Running, Yoga and Cooking.
