Hello, I’m Kristina and I was born in Los Angeles, California in the USA but I grew up in Metro Manila, Philippines. English has always been my first language and I had to learn Spanish and Tagalog/Filipino while I was in school.

I have many different experiences when it comes to teaching various subjects and skills. I've always had the ability to teach as much as I have enjoyed doing it.

For teaching in English , I've taught Thai students who have zero to minimal knowledge when it comes to the English language. I've had to teach them from the basic phonetics and alphabets before going into something more conversational. The method of teaching is with a guided lesson and conversational speaking. Please note that this was done online.

Recently, I was hired by a Philippine based Korean entertainment company as an English tutor for their Korean artists. This is to help them with their conversational skills, vocabulary, and diction. I also help them reading their scripts or prep them for press conferences and shows.

For teaching in general I've taught toddlers to children aged 4 to 6 in playing soccer, and I'm also working as a private tutor to a little girl since she was 2 years old (she is currently 7 years old). I get placed with children because, apart from kids like being around me, I have a lot of patience and I'm able to break down subjects so that they better understand the topic.

Additionally, I also teach dance classes on weekends. Teaching beginners has a special place in my heart because I really like being able to instil good dance foundations in my students. I enjoy seeing them progress and improve over time. However, I also teach more intermediate students more complicated choreography and KPOP dances. Being a dance teacher requires me to break down the steps and properly explain it so they understand what I’m asking them to do.

In lieu of the entertainment industry opportunities, I sometimes get tapped to teach to media train artists & idol trainees when answering questions for interviews and the like. I usually teach them how to sound more eloquent and correct their diction as English is not necessarily their first language.

Outside teaching, I work in the entertainment industry doing marketing and events. I've worked with local artists and with Korean artists (idols and actors) in the past few years. Apart from this, I like to express myself creatively by doing freelance creative direction, styling, make up, music, dance, and content creation.
