With a degree in English Literature and Creative Writing, hands-on experience working with children, and my ongoing completion of the 168 Hour Online Level 5 TEFL diploma at the TEFL Academy, I am confident in my ability to contribute effectively in an English teaching role.
During my time as a PR Senior Account Excutive at Ready10, I have had the privilege of interviewing school children to promote their First Give social initiatives in local media. This experience allowed me to engage with students, understand their perspectives, and help them communicate their ideas effectively. It also ignited my passion for working with young people, which I previously nurtured through my involvement in Tottenham Hotspur Women’s Matchday Reporter Scheme, which I trained children to become matchday reporters, helping them develop their communication skills.
My career in communications has equipped me with strong language skills and an understanding of how to engage audiences of all ages. From conducting talent interviews for major clients to handling sensitive communication projects, I have learned the importance of clarity, empathy, and adaptability – qualities I aim to bring into the classroom.
I am excited about the prospect of applying these skills to teaching English, helping students improve their language proficiency, and fostering an environment where they feel confident and motivated to learn. I believe my experience working with children, combined with my background in English literature and communication, positions me to make a positive impact in your school.
Thank you for considering my application. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss how my skills and experiences align with your needs in more detail.
