To Whom It May Concern,
My name is Heather Daniels and I apply to the ESL teacher position at your institution equipped with a strong passion for educating youth and adults. The English language is an essential skill to possess in this increasingly globalized world and I would like to teach it in a dynamic and creative way. My experiences and qualifications fit the needs of this position because I am an effective and passionate teacher and I am an innovative and hardworking employee.
For the past 10 years I have worked in the educational sector in a variety of capacities. I have taught ESL in the United States, Thailand, Turkey, and have led study abroad programs and retreats in South Africa, Ghana and Peru. I have also advocated for children and young adults in a variety of capacities.
I have gained a tremendous amount of experience teaching children and adults of all levels and I have been trained extensively on IELTS and SAT, and have also spent the past few months as the native English teacher at Kabatas High School-one of the most competitive schools in Turkey-which has also been a very rewarding experience. Before moving abroad I served in the nonprofit sector working as a Site Manager for Jumpstart at Lehman College in New York. I am very passionate about education and community service and I put this passion into all of the work I do.
I am passionate about creating fun, engaging, and challenging learning opportunities for students to master the English language and enjoy traveling and exploring new cultures and consider myself to be a global citizen.
Currently, I am seeking a position that will enable me to strengthen my teaching skills while having an interesting international experience. I think your school would be a great opportunity for me to flourish as an educator and it would also provide me with the opportunity to do what I love most-teach. I am hoping to discuss my skills and qualifications in more depth in an interview. Thank you for your consideration, and I hope to hear from you soon.
Sincerely,
Heather Daniels
