Dear Sir or Madam
I am writing to apply for the opportunity to teach EFL with your school as advertised via The TEFL Academy. I am a 25-year-old female English native speaker from South Africa. I have taken a strong interest in pursuing my career in English teaching as I have a friend who is currently teaching abroad. They described their experience as truly fulfilling. I am an avid novel reader which has always made me fond of the language. It had never occurred to me I had a skill that could be passed on. I would love to be given the opportunity to teach and help students increase their proficiency in the language.
I have recently obtained training in teaching English as a second language by completing the 168 hour Level 5 TEFL Certificate with The TEFL Academy and the Teaching English to Young Learners (30 hours) course. Moreover, besides being a recently graduated ESL teacher, I have also obtained a Bachelors of commerce degree and a Bachelor of commerce Honours degree in management. I am certain in my ability to become the most dedicated English teacher. I would like to offer you a blend of talents and experiences.
Some of my key strengths include:
Able to plan and organize efficiently
Demonstrated ability learn quickly and manage time well
Highly skilled in establishing clear objectives which can be translated to lessons, units, projects, and other activities.
Fluent and well versed
Able to work long hours and weekends
I currently await the arrival of my TEFL certificate. If there is any other information you require, please feel free to contact me. Thank you for your time and consideration, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Yours faithfully
Miss Farah Khan
(I do apologize I do not posses any professional portraits of me smiling, I will take some and hope to forward them to you)
