I currently work as a Sales Advisor in a clothing store and during my time working, I have trained other colleagues to complete tasks such as using the tills, processing refunds, dealing with troublesome customers and greeting customers with a friendly and enthusiastic approach. I have also given presentations and seminars at university to over 20 students with ages ranging from 18-30, this included presenting and teaching skills and creating lesson plans and worksheets.
I have also worked with children – babysitting and a project on the learning development of young children which all included ages 3-12.
I have taught children during university events on how to handle animals, facts about the animals and any other questions they had.
I am passionate and enthusiastic about teaching and am dedicated to help the students be as successful in their learning as they can. I have a passion for gaining new knowledge and sharing that knowledge with others. I have a strong belief that the classroom should be a safe and fun place for students and to try and keep a positive atmosphere at all times. My goal is to teach students in a way that they can learn for themselves and have a positive and fun experience during their lesson time with me.
I am a great listener and can listen to each student to ensure they are understanding the work and are pronouncing words or phrases correctly. I am also excellent at giving feedback without sounding too harsh and can give helpful advice on how someone can improve and thrive. Due to my work at customer service, I have gained the skill at noticing when others may need help which would be useful for seeing how well the students are progressing and helping the students with their work if they need it.
