To Whom It May Concern;
I am writing to express my interest in a role teaching English overseas in Vietnam. With over a decade of experience across corporate, clinical, and non-profit health sectors in Canada, and post-secondary institutions across Canada in the provinces of BC, AB, SK, and ON, I bring a strong understanding of public health sciences, mixed methods research, and leadership. Below, I highlight key professional accomplishments that demonstrate how my skills will contribute to your Team.
As a Managing and Scientific Editor at JMIR Publications and Project Manager at Hoffmann La-Roche, I have honed leadership skills and a strong understanding of planning, implementing, and evaluating activities and ensure operational success. I am committed to ensuring projects stay on track, within scope, and on time.
In my roles as a Medical Education and Training Manager, Sessional Instructor, Subject Matter Expert, and Instructor I’ve taught diverse adult learners how to apply theoretical frameworks to solve complex problems. My communication skills will be valuable in building partnerships and translating knowledge.
As a Data and Evaluation Specialist and Standards Specialist, I understand the health data management lifecycle and have experience using research evidence to collect, analyze, and interpret results. I’ve worked with qualitative, mixed-methods, and quantitative data to drive operational changes.
In my position as a Senior Advisor with the Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, I work to empower equity-deserving groups and help them reach their full potential in the workplace and community. My volunteer experience in the Anti-Racism Action Committee and Indigenization Policies and Procedures working group provide me with the experience to help raise awareness of the barriers faced by equity-deserving groups.
These competencies have been further developed through my academic endeavours. Throughout my career, I’ve effectively delivered in-person, hybrid, and distance education to diverse student populations, integrating technology and inclusive pedagogical practices. I consistently adapt instructional materials to meet learners’ varying needs, ensuring that all students can achieve success. I have experience developing, planning, and coordinating academic courses and programs, including scheduling, operational planning, and resource identification to align with institutional goals. My approach to student assessment is systematic and reflective, incorporating formative and summative methods to guide both instruction and student growth. I maintain transparent records, communicate feedback regularly, and use data to improve course delivery and support continuous quality improvement. I have supervised practicums, engaged with industry partners to ensure placement quality, and helped bridge academic content with real-world applications. I work collaboratively with faculty teams, contribute to curriculum evaluation, and participate in retention and program improvement initiatives. I actively engage in professional development and integrate emerging evidence and feedback into teaching. My advising experience includes academic and career guidance, fostering strong relationships that support student success. Additionally, I’ve participated in recruitment, developed promotional materials, and acted as a liaison with external stakeholders, ensuring ongoing alignment between academic programming and community/industry needs. I am deeply committed to the mission of accessible, high-quality education and am confident in my ability to contribute meaningfully to the instructional excellence and community engagement.
I am confident that my diverse experiences and skill set will make me a valuable asset to your Team. I would welcome the opportunity to meet and discuss how I can contribute to your research program.
Sincerely,
Dr. Dahlia Khajeei (PhD PHHS, MPH, BSc, CUT, PROSCI, & ECM Certified)
