With a solid global background and the ability to adapt to new environments and situations, I have in-depth experience working directly with international students at the University of Manchester. By supporting their academic studies through the role of an academic advisor, the experience allowed me to build a deep understanding of students' needs. Through this, I became interested in teaching English as a second language. I possess strong expertise in communicating with non-native English speakers due to my multilingual skills and personal experience learning English as a second language.
With an interest in languages and linguistics, I pay close attention to detail and focus on students’ language goals. I have a proven ability to mentor and collaborate effectively with students, with a strong focus on building partnerships that promote interdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary work, while developing innovative academic activities for them. Through completing my TEFL Level 5 Diploma, the course successfully equipped me with a strong knowledge base and essential foundational skills in ESL teaching methodology, classroom management, lesson planning, and creating teaching materials.
I am a passionate and creative individual, always enthusiastic about learning more and empowering students to achieve their goals by adopting an engaging, innovative, and communicative approach to teaching. I am diligent, disciplined, and patient, and I highly value a student-centred approach, as well as cross-cultural communication, awareness, and sensitivity.
