I have over 25 years teaching experience. I taught various age groups between 4 to 49 years. I have experience teaching English to non native speakers. I enjoy teaching and professionally interacting with my students. My passion is teaching and I enjoy the classroom environment.

I am friendly, compassionate, hard-working, loyal, respectful, neat and very punctual. Honesty goes a long way whether it will impact in negative or positive way. I gained many skills that worked for me as a teacher over the years. I am creative and enjoy making my teaching aids. I have good computers skills. I design materials to help me deliver lessons in the classroom. I have extensive skill in setting assessment tasks. Planning in important so I make sure this is completed ahead of time. I have managed many projects from beginning to end. I am very meticulous with any administrative work.

I am currently a 5th year English language instructor at a public senior high school in Japan, I'm also TEFL certified so I believe that I am highly experienced in teaching English as a second language. I also have a high passion in working with children which is why I chose to go into teaching — I have worked with kids with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), I've taught Chinese to toddlers — I have more than 5 years of experience in working with children.

The strength in my personality is that I am an empathetic and compassionate person, I try to always create a comfortable environment, a safe space for whoever I am in the presence of and I believe that it's very crucial in a classroom setting, especially with younger children. I am highly driven, meticulous and organized to a fault and I think in my profession as a teacher — it is important.

I have strong leadership skills and with my studies in international communication, I have a considerable amount of knowledge on how to effectively communicate cross-culturally. In addition, I am very patient and encouraging, which would create a positive environment for students.

As I have 3 years experience teaching English in South Korea, I have plenty of knowledge about how to teach the English language. I am able to adapt my personality to the situation that is presented before me in a professional environment whilst also ensuring that a safe and fun learning environment. Having mainly worked with young learners means that I can be responsible for these students at all times.

I'm a passionate teacher with over 5 years experience instructing young children age 6-11 in Piano. I love the English language and enjoy reading novels by Dickens in my spare time. I come from an engineering background which gives me a practical approach to teaching, and during my degree I excelled in giving presentations and group work. My work as a sound engineer encompassed many high pressure team based scenarios, often as part of live national broadcasts for the BBC and Sky – so I'm more than capable of handling a fast paced class teaching environment.

Hello! My name is Peace Kanu-Asiegbu. You probably read my first name Akachukwu and shook your head as you tried to pronounce it. Thankfully, there will be no need for that. I go by my middle name Peace which is shorter, universal, comes with its own hand signal, and is a great conversation starter in any country.

I speak three languages (English, Igbo, and Spanish). I can read and understand quite a bit of Italian and Portuguese because of its linguistic similarities to Spanish. My latest quest into languages are Russian and Korean. The Russian is because I have been obsessed with James Bond movies and action movies in general since I was a child. Most of the bad guys spoke Russian so I wanted to learn. My Korean language learning has happened within the past year. I have managed to learn the Hangul alphabet, the grammar rules that pertain to the alphabet, and some basic phrases. Duolingo, Korean television, and learning blogs have played a part in my learning. Basically, I love languages. I have also lived on three different continents so I am accustomed to being immersed in different cultures. One of my favorite places to be is at an international airport.

I am a freelance web designer with ties to the fashion and hotel industries. Although those interests seem to be varied, I can assure you that it allows me the opportunity to converse with people from all walks of life. I worked in the hotel industry for over 4 years. The job allowed me to talk to people from all over the world daily and assist them with their needs. I helped with translation services at 360 Eats, the non-profit organization, where I was a web designer for over a year. I also helped with tutoring language students over the past couple of years, though not in an official capacity.

I know that my experience might not be linear with teaching, but I understand the process of learning multiple languages as a child or at any age. Before I immigrated to the USA at age 10, I lived in Aba, Nigeria. Though English is one of the official languages of my country, I also had to speak my native language of Igbo at home. I remember being corrected by my dad to speak more English at home. I added Spanish to my languages when I moved to the USA. I even got one of my bachelor’s degrees in Spanish. I understand the mindset of students and the process that it takes for everyone to learn a foreign language. I also understand that everyone learns differently. I believe that I am perfectly positioned to make a difference as an English teacher in Seoul.

I like to have fun and believe that everyone should have the opportunity to live their best lives. I know that learning English, in addition to knowing another language sets people up for success. I look as languages as a superpower. I am excited to be a small part in someone’s learning journey.

I am a young professional seeking a career change. I have worked as a freelance architect for 5 years with my Bachelor degree. I have almost completed 2 master degrees, one in Architecture and one in Global Smart City Management. I seek a change now, towards engaging with people more directly and compassionately.

Before this, I did many jobs which I enjoyed, such as waiter, barista, salesman, and deliveryman. I also worked in start-up for a number of different SME companies. Hello, my name is Penelope Tooks. I recently graduated Magna Cum Laude from Kutztown University. I majored in English with a concentration in Professional Writing and Minors in Literature and Women's Gender and Sexuality Studies. I was the Vice President of our school's literary magazine, a tutor at the writing center, and a student assistant for a professor in the English Department.

I have a deep interest in people and their cultures. I've studied abroad in two separate programs. I went to Ireland for a month last summer. The program helped me learn about Irish history while studying poetry and literature. At the beginning of this year, I went to Italy for three months to complete an internship. I did research on the local historical monuments and museums. Then, I wrote articles for a tourism company.

Much of my experience has revolved around writing, grammar, and literature. I love to study English, and I learned that I love teaching it as well. My tutoring position was one of my most fulfilling experiences. I love guiding people through their learning journey. It would be a dream to get the opportunity to help children, who are at the beginning of the educational path.
