Hello Hiring Manager,

I have taught English for 2 years from the middle of 2019 to the middle of 2021 at Chungdahm Learning in Seongbuk-gu. Teaching during that time period allowed for experience in-class as well as online. As we had students on the waiting list during peak Covid times, I believe that my particular hagwon was of the highest teaching and learning standards.
I learned everything about teaching and hagwon operations. During my time at Chungdahm, I was required to create materials such as projects, homework, exams and other course-related content. I also became quite involved with the desk teacher and parent interactions. At one point, I was asked to privately tutor one of the top students for her interview at a top-10 world-renown business school in France- she was accepted!
I have a great empathy for my students. Perhaps my greatest passion is getting to know and understand people. Usually, I like to build relationships with the younger students because they have much more to offer. They normally don’t try to hide any opinions or information that they might be judged about. But, every student is also equal unless they break the classroom rules and reasonable punishment is acceptable.
Outside of teaching, I try to stay disciplined. I like to go to the gym everyday, usually before work. Minimum 2 hours. Cooking at home is also a daily routine. Meal prep for me is always very important and healthier than eating out.

Teaching has always been a calling for me, and my decision to transition from a marketing career to education is driven by a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others. I am excited about the prospect of sharing my love for the English language and fostering a supportive learning environment for students eager to enhance their language skills.

The idea of immersing myself in the unique culture of South Korea has always appealed to me. I am eager to explore the beautiful landscapes, savour the delectable cuisine, and engage with the warm and welcoming community. In addition to my professional background, I am an avid reader and a poet in my free time. My name is Lireece Deidre Paul. I am a 22- year old qualified teacher with a degree in the Bachelor of Education in Foundation phase teaching through the Independent Institute of Education (IIE), Varsity College. I have also completed a 120 hours TEFL course with a 20 hours TEFL practical course. Furthermore, I am a registered teacher at the South African Council of Educators (SACE) and I have a valid Police Clearance Certificate. I have 4 years of experience as an intern and 1 year experience as a full-time teacher. I have taught learners from ages 5-9. Furthermore, I have experience teaching different subjects including, English, Mathematics, Life Skills and Afrikaans. I specialize in designing lesson plans and activities according to learner's interests and needs. In addition, I have a passion for inclusive education and for teaching little people. I would like to collaborate with other teaching professionals and use my skills to improve myself and further contribute to the field of education.

I have been teaching coding skills to adults.
Since gaining a TEFL qualification I have been teaching English to both adults and children online.
I'm currently working as an IT teacher in a UK college.

I have written reports and delivered lectures to a high level in universities in the UK. This has included ensuring that international students understand my English clearly and that I appropriately communicate my points to them. I have delivered PowerPoint presentations and have scored an above 4.0 GPA on every presentation by ensuring the material is clear and that I delivered it correctly.
