I’m a graduate from the University of Pretoria with a degree in BCom Financial Sciences. Following on from this I took and completed my 120-hour TEFL Certificate with TEFL Professional and Development Institute. During that time, I was also teaching English and Mathematics at Ebenezer Excellence Academy to students from the age of 9 to 14 years – a job I enjoyed immensely! I enjoy singing dancing and hiking on my free time.

I currently tutor children from the age of 8 to 18 years old at an orphanage home, I assist them to improve on their academic performance. I have been teaching English as a second language and Mathematics at a School called Ebenezer Excellence Academy. When I first started the position as a Teacher, I worked with an average of 15 students per class. As my role continued, my classes grew. Now, I teach 20 to 25 students per class period. In each of these classes, I worked with students with beginning to advanced skills in English, helping them achieve better scores on their assignments. On average, my students' scores on assignments and tests have risen by a full letter grade with my support.

One of the many skills that make me qualified for this position is my ability to learn languages. Currently, I have learned Zulu, Sesotho, Sepedi, Tsonga, Xhosa and Venda and I hope to learn more as I continue my professional career. My ability to learn these languages gives me a unique perspective when I teach my students because I think about learning their languages myself. I also can help students by teaching in their languages, helping them understand the words they need and want in English. This skill means I can teach students with diverse backgrounds. My teaching methodology is a learner-centered approach in which learners participate in the design, execution, and evaluation of their lessons in learner-centered classrooms. I allow the learners to participate in these choices, I give up more control and accountability. Additionally, I have learned how to transition from a directive to a collaborative leadership style. I allow learners to be free to walk around the classroom, work in small groups, and utilize centers.

I am passionate about fostering a positive classroom atmosphere and have a proven track record of leadership and dedication, guiding students to reach their full potential. I have a Business and Media Enterprises MA from the University of Warwick, Popular Music BA from Anglia Ruskin University and a TEFL certificate from the TEFL Academy.

I have worked as a Content Writer for the past two years, but I have previous experience as a teaching assistant at public, private and special educational needs schools. I have taught students from the ages of 5 to 14.

I have strong background in IT support with +3 years of experience in the industry. However, I am eager to embark on a new and fulfilling career path in education.

To prepare for this transition, I I have successfully completed a TEFL 120-hour certificate, equipping me with the essential skills to teach English as a foreign language.

My ability to listen attentively and think critically has been invaluable in my previous role and I believe will contribute to my success as a teacher.

After graduating college with over a thousand hours of classroom experience, I taught seventh and eighth graders English Language Arts. After almost a year in formal education, I accepted a position teaching children and adults ceramics. I have vastly enjoyed my time teaching the art of pottery, but wish to return to teaching linguistics. I greatly appreciate how the study of linguistics opens new worlds of opportunities for success and knowledge, for myself and my students.

I have worked in Education in a variety of settings in New York City: early childhood development, elementary public school, private middle school and after school programs for all ages.

i am a very hard worker, i am determined and well structured and love teaching. I was a teachers assistant at a kindergarten and studied education on college and now have completed the tefl course. I love helping others and supporting others to achieve their goal.

I graduated from Liverpool John Moores University in 2019 with a BA with Honours in English and graduated with an MA in Journalism in 2021. I completed my 240 hour TEFL qualification in July 2024 and since then have had experience teaching English to Spanish and Italian children who were attending summer school in the UK where I was planning and leading classes and shadowing more experiences teachers. I am an outgoing, personable and approachable teacher who aims to make all classes fun and interesting for students and I am always available for students should they wish to speak to me about any concerns.

I am a native English speaker from South Africa, recognized for my calm and strong nature. I have significant experience in classroom management and child development. My expertise lies in teaching English, creating curriculum and mentoring students. I have taught English for two years to kindergarten, elementary, and middle school students in diverse educational environments. I know how important teamwork and communication are. I can work independently or as part of a teaching team. My time in South Korea has enriched my understanding of the English language and its cultural aspects. I aim to create engaging learning experiences that focus on critical thinking, collaboration, and communication.

I have years of tertiary experience with constant essay writing. I came 2nd in Standard English in Year 12. I am a proficient and high-level writer and speaker with superior use of grammar and vocabulary. I am an honest person who enjoys helping people and doing my best at whatever I do.

I also have experience with all Microsoft software. Moreover, I am close to possessing my TEFL certificate from TEFL.org (awaiting final 2 assessments to be marked).

I do not have experience in teaching, but I do have experience with people management, having been a manager at supermarkets.
