As a college graduate from the University of Washington in 2022 with a BA in English, I am detail-oriented, organized, and a quick learner. I have the qualifications and attributes you desire for this role.
I pursued a degree in English because of my passion for reading and writing and desire to forge a career with these skills. While completing my education in this field, I learned about opportunities to teach English as a foreign language abroad. After recently completing my TEFL certification, I am excited to follow my dream of teaching English while exploring a new country and learning about its culture while gaining new skills and experience.
Along with my education, my time as a Host in the restaurant industry has given me invaluable customer service and intrapersonal skills in a high-stress and fast-paced environment. The skills I have learned during my time in this role have been invaluable throughout my professional and personal lives.
Furthermore, my time as a Customer Support and Fulfillment Specialist required me to work with extreme attention to detail and a sense of urgency all while keeping an eye for quality assurance, which I now apply to all facets of my life.
Finally, I am passionate, take pride in anything I set out to do, and have a desire to succeed and help those around me succeed too.

I hold my degree from the University of South Florida in my home state of Florida in the United States and have spent years as an English teacher and early childhood educator, serving primarily Korean and Japanese communities. In particular, working at a language school in Düsseldorf, Germany has allowed me to manage various classroom settings of 8-10 children ranging from ages 5 to 15. In my role, I develop lesson plans tailored to various learning styles, cultural, and social needs. These factors are essential to my teaching methods as I desire to build an engaging learning environment that assists in building a foundation and long-lasting positive connection to English.
My teaching methodology centers on making learning consistent, engaging, and enjoyable while caring for the students with the patience, respect, and kindness they deserve. I instruct lessons that build language proficiency and meet the required learning benchmarks while inspiring a love for learning with repetition and engaging activities, always reminding myself to look at learning through the perspective of a child. I take pride in adapting to my student’s cultural and social needs, ensuring they feel excited and comfortable expressing themselves in English, even beyond the classroom.

I have experience working with young people in sports, education and healthcare. As a head sports coach, I was responsible for planning and delivering sessions to my team from the ages of 8-11. Enthusiasm and effective communication were tantamount to this role. As an online Maths tutor, I have been responsible for conducting assessments and developing lesson plans to suite individual needs. Students have described my sessions as helpful and enjoyable during formative feedback, and many have exceeded their target grades following our tuition. Seeing students feel more confident when approaching their exams has provided me with a sense of pride and satisfaction in this role. As a research assistant, I organised and delivered events for young people with additional needs. This required adaptability to meet the diverse needs of the group.

Having previously lived in China and the USA with host families, I am confident in my ability adapt to new environments and connect with students from culturally diverse backgrounds. I'm an English native aspiring, caring, kind and charismatic teacher with 2years knowledge and experience delivering educational assistance and instructions to various levels of learners. i am hardworking and not afraid of any challenges. I have experience working as a teacher assistant for a year between 2021 -2022. I am an out-going and fun loving person who loves children. I began working while I was still studying to complete a Bachelor of Arts
degree in Communication Science. For the last 2 years of my studies I
worked as a remote, freelance copywriter. During this time, I
completed written article-based work for a variety of online
publications and websites. This work included gambling and online
casino written game reviews and recommendations, travel-based
articles and reviews, as well as other written work on a variety of
subjects.

After I completed my degree, I was able to intern and later take on a
permanent position at an advertising, media and marketing agency
based in Bryanston, Sandton. I now work here as a Digital Marketing
Assistant. This involves building content calendars, posting content,
managing and responding to messages or queries. I am experienced
with paid advertising on social media as well, having run numerous
client campaigns across Facebook, Google ads, Instagram, LinkedIn
and Twitter. I am also an experienced copywriter who frequently
creates content for a variety of companies and brands. This includes
post copy, website page copy, as well as scripted content for both
radio and TV.
Photography is another passion of mine. I am often present to help
cover brand events and/or activations. I am accustomed to shooting
and editing photos when required on a client-by-client basis. Looking
to the future, I am hoping to make a change. To get outside the office
and do something that really adds value to the future. I want to be a
teacher! I have now completed my Online TEFL 168
hour diploma. I am very excited to start my new career as a teacher!

My experience teaching three children the piano has allowed to acquire and exhibit patience, open-mindedness, kindness and adaptibility. I have freelanced for two years as a jazz musician in Cape Town and as a result of that I've developed qualities such as; punctuality, professionalism, reliability, rapport skills and an “easy to work with” nature. For the most part I'd consider myself a cool, calm and collected individual. I think that I am good at explaining concepts and breaking them down, making it easier for people to understand them. I enjoy working with people.
