I have a Masters´ degree in Bilingual Education and a CELTA TEFL. I have taught English for over 5 years in a school setting. I feel I have the relevant experience and qualifications to make a solid contribution to the learning needs of your students. I´m an outgoing, motivated teacher that gets a lot of satisfaction from seeing my students progress.

I feel my strengths and experience come from my academic days. In primary school I helped younger students through a 'buddy program' which allowed me to help new students get settled into the school.

Throughout the years I have also helped students with homework and tutored students for upcoming tests.

This required patience, understanding and kindness as you would be dealing with students of all ages and personalities and so it meant finding different ways to keep their interest as well as making sure they understood what they were being taught.

I am a hardworking and confident individual who is a strong team leader and a team player. For example, I volunteered as an English teacher in a small town in Sudan for three months, whereby I taught and prepared lessons. Additionally, I am a patient, approachable and friendly individual. As a peer mentor at university, students were very comfortable in approaching me about any concerns they had with settling into university life and I gave advice where necessary. Additionally, I have excellent listening and communicational skills and I am a highly organised individual with outstanding time management. My experiences of being a volunteer teacher have enabled me to develop my interpersonal skills and organisational skills. I adapt well to new environments and I am keen to take on new tasks and challenges. Furthermore, I am creative and like to use different teaching techniques to make lessons as interactive, enjoyable and informative for the students.

I have a diverse and strong skill set developed over years of hard work and dedication. I consider my core competencies to include first and foremost my deep understanding of the principles and grammar of English, but extend to my mathematical talent, my ability to write clearly and coherently, my experience with a variety of IT packages, and my natural capacity to work incredibly well with other people, either within a team or with clients and customers.

I am an avid reader. I like to read a variety of non-fiction material; with topics including, but not limited to, Popular Science, Popular Culture and have an active subscription to, and regularly read The Royal Society of chemistry Magazine.
I have a great love of fitness and health, and am a regular gym goer. I can speak two languages fluently and one more semi-adequately.

My previous employment as an adventure trip guide overseas displays my desire for new challenges and the ability to work with children of various ages and social backgrounds. This is in addition to my strong involvement in a team dynamic as well as the capacity to work as a leader, particularly in unfamiliar and novel situations.

I have a considerable amount of experience displaying my competencies in both written and verbal communication, in addition to a high level of interest in travel and experiencing new cultures within both a professional and social sense.

Having lived in two different countries as a child (Thailand and Kuwait) I have developed social skills which stand me in good stead in any situation. I am sociable and a good communicator and have a good sense of humour which I find an asset when dealing with people. My job in a public house has taught me how to get on with people and work effectively in a team situation. I am friendly, approachable and am good at getting on with people from all walks of life. Also when I was a gym instructor a coached many types of people and clients in helping them reach their fitness goals.
I would describe my personality as outgoing but not extrovert and I can make assert myself in all situations. My friends would describe me as easy going and a good listener and a supportive friend. I greatly enjoyed working on my 120 hour tefl course and am looking forward to putting all this theory into practice. I believe I would make a good teacher as both my parents are teachers and I have seen at first hand what their working lives were like and and I believe I understand the demands of such an important role.

I am hoping my experience in Korea showcases my desire and dedication to education. I have had the opportunity to instruct a wide variety of ages ranging from 8 to 17. As a result, I am sensitive to the unique needs of elementary, middle, and high school students, offering positive encouragement, reinforcement, and constructive criticism to keep students focused and motivated.

I feel this experience will translate very well into your company. I have also completed a TESOL certificate in January 2013. For the past 4 years, I have worked in various theaters throughout America as a costume stitcher, wardrobe supervisor, and designer. These opportunities have allowed me to gain skills in communication and education. In the world of theatre, communication is everything. Being able to adapt and communicate with people with a variety of different skills is essential, especially when moving from one theatre to another. Working as a stitcher and wardrobe supervisor, I've had experience teaching people skills related to makeup application, costume stitching, crafting, and designing. Recently, I graduated from Purdue University with a major in Theatre Design and Production. During my time at Purdue, I had the opportunity to be a teaching assistant for a costume design class. This position involved creating lesson plans and activities for students to learn skills related to costume stitching and design. I just completed my last semester of my undergraduate degree while I was studying abroad in Seoul, South Korea. While in Seoul, I met people from all over the world. Many of my friends were studying English and would ask me questions if they were struggling. I found that I really enjoyed helping people learn something new! Now that I've graduated, I'm excited to begin the next adventure in my life. I want to continue pursuing teaching as my career in a city that I love. I look forward to hearing from you!

I am an outgoing, energetic and fun loving person. Besides my education and work experience outlined in my CV I have spent the last four years living abroad and enjoyed every minute of it! I love immersing myself in a new culture and would love the opportunity to do this in South Korea. I am adventurous and love to bring this passion into the classroom to motivate my students to dream big! I am very patient and easily approachable. When learning a new language I believe it is essential for students to feel comfortable making mistakes and a positive learning environment is needed to promote this.
