I have seven years of teaching experience including both in formal classrooms and non-formal settings. I have taught ESL as well as English composition to native-speaking American students. I have taught both in the United States and abroad. My expertise is in writing and grammar, however, I enjoy teaching all skill areas. I have a dual Master's degree in both Linguistics and TESOL as well as a Bachelor's degree in English. I am experienced in working with diverse groups as I have taught students and worked with colleagues from all over the world. I am a reliable and devoted teacher and I strive to always put my students' needs first.

I am currently teaching at Royal Drakensberg Primary School in South Africa. I am the grade 1 teacher and all of my students are English Second Language Learners. I am responsible for teaching my learners to read, write and speak English. It is a fairly rural school with limited resources.

I am looking to extend my teaching experience into other countries and am interested in learning about new cultures.

As an enthusiastic English Teacher, I implement lessons where I incorporate student’s interests while remaining on the curriculum and engaging in critical thinking. I deliver creative and fascinating units challenging students socially and academically. As a teacher I am confident and energetic, but open to constructive criticism and always looking for new ways to grow. As a person I am rather extroverted, but a good listener and a kind friend. I especially love to laugh and go on adventures. I am calm and understanding when it comes to academically difficult lessons and I excel in adapting assignments to fit the needs of all students. My University prepared me for teaching by endorsing me in SEI and VIPR. Along with my other education training and student teaching, I am familiar with researching and creating my own lesson plans with a focus on bringing interest and understanding to otherwise uninterested students. I have found that using technology in the classroom is a great way to keep students engaged and enhance my lessons. I taught three 10th grade classes where I created my own activities, lessons, and units. I had a diverse group of students ranging from honors to new level ELLs. During student teaching, I was required to adapt my lessons in order to challenge my students without overwhelming them. I believe the best environment for any learning is a relaxed one, and I work hard to create that space for all of my students. I pride myself in my ability to build a creative and inviting classroom environment where learning can reach its full potential.

I am a recent university graduate, with a B.A. in Psychology. I have also been an Alternate Exam invigilator for over 3 years. My major allowed me to excel in my previous job position, since I had to deal with students who had various disabilities. Working in an educational setting and finishing my degree has made me ready for a new challenge, which is why I am pleased to be working towards teaching English abroad. I was also able to obtain a TEFL/TESOL certificate from the International TEFL Academy, where I was required to participate in 20 hours of student teaching and observation. My practicum took place at ABCESL Canada, where I taught two adult students and allowed me to gain insight and experience in teaching English.

I have a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from the National University of Ireland, Galway. During this diploma, I developed skills and knowledge to become a great teacher. As part of this diploma, I taught middle school-aged students part-time during the 2013/2014 academic year. I am currently enrolled on a 120 hour TEFL course and I hope to be finished by the end of September. In August 2018, I completed a Masters degree in Business and IT from Dublin City University and will graduate in November 2018.

As well as the above teaching experience, I have worked in an English-language school for adults in an administrative role located in Dublin. I am currently the secretary for the largest Irish-language university department in Ireland, for which I have sole responsibility for the administration work in the department.

I have many strengths that would benefit the company namely my creative outlook on any situation. I have experience in many different fields of work such as administration, receptionist, sales in pharmacy, data capturing to name a few. I have a talent for art, drawing and sketching. I would say my greatest skill is being able to learn and grasp a concept well. I have a lot to offer. Allow me to fulfill my potential.

Experience: I worked as an English Language Teacher with the Clare Language Centre in August 2018. I taught 12-17 year old Spanish, Russian, Syrian and Japanese students, from Pre-intermediate to Intermediate levels. I worked as an English Language Teacher with International House Dublin in July 2018. I taught 13-17 year old Italian and Spanish students, from Pre-intermediate to Upper-intermediate levels. Last Summer I taught 6-8 year old students in a summer camp in Italy. I have taught Italian adults English via Skype for a year.

Personality: I am a friendly and approachable teacher. I like to discover how my students learn and to tailor lessons that suit their needs. I have a BA in English and French and studied abroad in Avignon (South of France) for a year so I understand the difficulties students face when learning a new language. This experience has made me more understanding and patient with my students. I enjoy learning about new cultures and languages (I speak English, Irish and French).

Skills: I have a BA International degree (4 year degree) and a teaching certificate with CELTA.
I have passed 7 modules in ECDL exams (including Microsoft Word and Excel). I have certificates with Clare Civil Defense which include: Occupational First Aid, Cardiac First Response, Manual Handling and Basic Fire Rescue. I completed a ten week course in Irish Sign Language in my university (NUI Galway).

I am an enthusiastic and motivated teacher looking to join a school in Seoul later this year.

I have been fortunate have experience of tutoring children at a prestigious school in London (references available), which has given me valuable experience of assessing learning needs, choosing appropriate lessons and tasks, and motivating students. For example, one of my students had extremely good English skills, but he lacked confidence. With him, I concentrated on finding topics we could work on that related to his own interests so that he was more forthcoming when he spoke. Another student was very confident speaking but he lacked precision, so I concentrated on exercises that required him to use particular pieces of grammar. Both showed a marked improvement. I have also volunteered with my husband's Boy Scout Troop, who are aged 10+, which has given me extra experience working with young people.

Outside of the classroom, I have extensive work experience that I believe will help me be a good teacher. I am extremely organised and reliable, and am used to balancing a busy workload with my interests (pilates, running, reading and learning Korean!). I have very good IT skills and am confident writing and presenting material.

I have ten years of experience in public service so I am confident that I have the skills and temperament to thrive in the classroom. I have visited ROK three times before and love it there – i can't wait to come to Seoul again! My husband will be working in Seoul too and we are very excited to spend more time in the country that has been so welcoming to us.

As a graduate with a degree in Health & Leisure, I.T Tralee and one with experience in many areas surrounding the education and skill development of children, I am writing to you regarding the position advertised.
I believe I can offer your organisation an unusual mix of abilities, talents and enthusiasm. As current National Sports Development Coordinator with Cara (Sports Inclusion Ireland), I am very comfortable with teaching and tutoring children of all ages and levels of ability. Teaching is a job that has appealed to me for a long time now and one which I feel I have the skills and knowledge to be both successful in and have a profound impact in.
Working with children and people in general is a passion of mine, a passion that has increased during my career and projects in my successful career in Ireland. Throughout my career I have gained a lot of theoretical and practical knowledge and experience in the area. Included in this experience, I coordinated a hugely successful camp for children with Visual Impairments, Camp Abilities. Working at this camp highlighted my ability to work with children and how my positive attitude and creativity can create a really positive experience for all the campers. I have also gained vast experience and appreciation for planning. This is something I have grown in over the years and something I would pride myself on.
