I have an extensive amount of experience working with children within the ages of 8-18. This is because I have been part of a dance studio/team since I was about 3 years old. I started assisting dance teachers since I was in grade 8, and have had multiple teaching jobs since then. Currently, I am the director/choreographer of a University hip hop team with 20 students within the age range of 18-25.
One of my strongest characteristics is that I am welcoming and make people feel comfortable around me. This has lead me to building rapport with other people very fast and is why I am considered "people-friendly". I love building relationships and find value in community. I am outgoing, funny and tend to play a leader role when I work with others. Considering this, I also love working in teams and am known for considering everyone's point of view when solving a group problem.
The skills I have learned from teaching, dancing and being a full time University student, has made me excel in working in fast-pace environments and deadline based settings. Since joining a competitive dance team in high school, I have mastered time management and learned how to self-motivate myself to complete tasks with easy and high quality.

In college, my area of study was child development with a heavy focus on early childhood development. As a Communication Disorders and Sciences major, with the goal of becoming a Speech Therapist, I took various classes instructing me on all facets of human development. As it is best to receive speech therapy in one’s own language, many of my peers chose from among the critical languages during our studies. Because of the economic and political changes and developments within South Korea, Korean proved to me to be one of the most critical languages for study. Though my studies focused originally on only the Korean language, I quickly became deeply interested in Korean history and culture. Due to this, I ultimately minored in Korean. During my days as a teaching assistant in a class focusing on the relationship between language and psychology, I often discussed with my students different aspects of the Korean language and the culture that influences it. In order to further my abilities in Korean and to improve my teaching skills, I believe the next logical step in my career is to teach English within Korea. I’m passionate about helping others and I thoroughly enjoy all education related endeavors.

I am a native English speaking graduate and a UK citizen and have recently completed a 120 Hour TEFL Course with a distinction. I have a real desire to improve the lives of others by teaching English, and look forward to creating exciting and engaging lessons to motivate my students and help them to learn effectively.
I have some teaching experience provided by the TEFL course, and in the summer of 2014 I worked as a Camp Counsellor for Summit Camp in Pennsylvania, a special needs camp for boys and girls ages 8 – 19. As part of my role as a counsellor, I had to motivate and assist campers with different activities, as well as monitoring them and responding to any incidents such as accidents or behavioural problems. It was important to establish good behaviour and ensure activities ran smoothly in order for the campers to get the most from their experience at camp. This required me to be enthusiastic, positive and caring, as well as being responsible and firm but fair.
In October 2018 I graduated from the Open University (OU) with an Upper-Second Class Honours degree in Natural Sciences (Chemistry). The OU is a public distance learning and research university, and so I carried out all of my studies off-campus. Studying for a degree in this way required me to remain focused, motivated and committed in order to be successful. Studying in my own time allowed me to develop my time-management and organisational skills and to become more self-disciplined and responsible.
My previous work and travel experiences have required me to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues as well as many different types of people from many different places. This has greatly improved my social and communication skills in addition to my ability to cope with obstacles, making me a more confident and creative person.
Overall, the skills and characteristics I have gained make me ideally suited for the job, and I believe that my enthusiasm, motivation and commitment would immediately benefit any school.
I would very much like the opportunity to discuss my application with you further with an interview. Thank you for taking the time to read my CV and I look forward to hearing from you.

Emily: United Kingdom: Jul 29, 2019

I have experience working with children of all ages, from summer camps and toddler groups to teaching English to refugees in Greek refugee camps, the latter being more challenging due to the harsh conditions faced. Despite this I enjoy educating children and helping them develop, both linguistically and socially. I have also honed my own skills through journalistic work during my undergraduate and experience of a master’s degree. I am also planning on undertaking a TEFL course before I arrive in South Korea as I have no formal teacher training.

I am a happy, smiley person who knows how to remain in charge and calm in front of challenging situations, particularly due to the trauma informed teaching course I took before I worked in refugee camps. Having spent extensive time travelling alone, as well as working whilst completing a full-time master’s course, I am well organised and hard working.

I completed my undergraduate in Psychology (St Andrews University), which benefited my scientific, statistical skills and emotional intelligence and am currently undertaking a master’s in International Conflict Studies (King's College London), which has enhanced my essay writing and editing skills and academic rigour.

Elizabeth: United States: May 01, 2019

I have about four years of experience teaching English abroad, specifically in Seoul, South Korea. I taught ages 3-14 year olds, at YBM Learning Tree and Chungdahm Institute. I taught a range of courses: speaking/conversation, reading and writing, song&dance, phonics, journalism, and advance literature. My teaching philosophy is that learning (classroom) should be fun. So, I like to incorporate multimedia sources and games into a traditional workbook-centric environment. I am also currently working on getting my TESOL certification.

Hello my name is Zack. I am a dedicated person and I enjoy reading, and teaching. The knowledge and perspective that my reading gives me has strengthened my teaching skills and presentation abilities. I have been successful at teaching for a very long time ,and I attribute this success to my ability to plan, schedule, and handle many different tasks at once. This flexibility will help me in the classroom, where there are many different personalities and learning styles.

I have a TESOL (120 hours) and almost 8 years of teaching English both part time and full.

Kim: Australia: Apr 01, 2019

To whom it may concern,
My name is Kim Bignell and I am interested in English teaching positions in or around Seoul.
I hold a university bachelor’s degree in Physics and I have completed a 120 hour accedited TEFL course. I have one year of experience teaching English in Korea at a private English academy. I am enthusiastic, hardworking and I enjoy teaching. I like to develop a strong rapport with students to create a relaxed and fun learning environment. I utilise the Engage, Study, Activate (ESA) method of teaching to maximise student participation and facilitate effective learning.

I taught English for one year in Korea in 2005. I taught an average of five classes a day to different class sizes and age group, from lower primary school to upper high school. I also planned lessons and provided feedback to the academy. Previous to this I tutored first year university level mathematics and physics as well as upper high school level calculus and chemistry. Throughout my professional career I have developed excellent written and verbal communications skills and I can confidently teach to all age groups English competency levels.

I am a single person applying for 1 position. There will be nothing in my medical report that would prevent me from working as a teacher in Korea. I have obtained a national criminal record check and this should be appostilled along with my degree in roughly two weeks.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Korea and would relish the opportunity to live and teach in Korea again. Please Let me know If you feel I would be suitable for any positions starting in or after April. I look forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards,
Kim Bignell

I am writing to apply of the position of English teaching job that has been advertised by aforementioned company. I am a creative, enthusiastic and diligent hard worker. Top notch people skills are a must in the educational space and I pride myself on my ability to being effective at how to treat and communicate with people.

I have enclosed my CV to support my application. My medium of learning has always been in English hence my fluency. My architecture degree helped me develop my English skill past a high school to a professional level. This has been elevated by modules such as theory of architecture and history of architecture which emphasized high level communication and creativity in assignments.
The ability to speak in front of a crowd is excellent because my course of study emphasized being able to communicate ideas in large rooms to multiple listeners.
My workshop experience helped me understand foreign kind of thinking and embrace the diversity of ideas and methods not native to me.
I thrive in new conditions and have huge capacity for grasping new ideas and improving them. My teaching experience may be limited to informal one-one one tutor-type sessions with peers and friends of siblings but have excelled at being able to improve their proficiency in the subject I was teaching whether it was English or Technical Drawing amongst others

I would enjoy having the opportunity to talk with you more about this position, and how I could use my skills to benefit your organization.
