ESL Teachers

I completed the CELTA course in December 2018. The CELTA course involved practical experience of working with adults and structuring lesson plans with highly experienced tutors, so I feel comfortable doing that. I found myself really liking and getting on with the students and I enjoyed the lessons I taught. I had experience teaching both advanced and beginner classes, so I was shown how to adapt lessons to different levels of skill. One of the things I particularly enjoyed was planning communicative tasks for students to practice their English. This involved group work with a focus on communicating with each other in English either through reading or writing.

I have experience working with children as I used to teach outdoor sports. I primarily taught kayaking and sailing. I found this a lot of fun and I am confident teaching children in a fun way while also making sure they focus on the task. As some of the activities required some technical skill, I did a lot of work on breaking down a task step-by-step to make it simple. I also helped with a programme for students with disabilities to get involved with sports, so I have experience working with disadvantaged learners.

I am calm and find it easy to speak to people so I would be relaxed speaking to the class and helping them to communicate in a safe environment. I am excited at the idea of going to Korea and would love to develop my teaching in your school.

I have lived and worked in China for four years as a TEFL teacher in public schools. I am passionate about travelling and teaching. I would love the opportunity to live and work in South Korea and hope to spend several years there. I am positive, motivated and learning and growing all the time to be the best teacher I can be.

I am a very friendly, approachable and outgoing individual, and give 100% to everything I put my mind to. Even though I greatly enjoy socialising and making new acquaintances, when it comes to my work I am extremely focused and driven. While I do not have any experience teaching English, I know I have the right attributes to do so successfully. I have experience in mentoring groups of young children through my football coaching and, on an educational level, have experiencing in tutoring students on different academic subjects.Through my time at university I have developed excellent organisational and timekeeping skills, and know the importance of managing your time correctly to stick to a variety of deadlines. Hence, with these attributes, along with my enthusiasm to make the classroom a fun place to learn efficiently, I believe I would be an ideal candidate for teaching overseas.

I have a BA degree(psychology major), which benefits me in understanding people.
After graduating from University, I worked as a facilitator in high schools for an after school program.
We focused on improving leadership skills within high schools. It gave me skills to enhance kids' leadership qualities.
I also volunteered at YMCA in Cape Town South Africa. I facilitated an after school program for impoverished primary school kids. I helped them with homework and also did social development
programs with them. I learned how to help the kids academically.
I started teaching ESL online in 2013. This is also the year I got a 60 hour TEFL certificate.
I taught ESL to kids and adults from all over the world.
At the end of 2014, I worked in a school in Cape Town, South Africa as a class teacher.
I taught grade 3 (9 and 10 years old), for 3 months which gave me experience in teaching groups of children face to face.
I have been teaching ESL online at my current company since 2015. In 2017, I got an additional 40 hour TEYL certificate. It gave me more insight into teaching ESL to young learners.
I currently teach ESL to kids of all ages and adults online.
It has made me more creative as a teacher because I have to keep the kids' attention online. Even though it is challenging sometimes, it is lots of fun.
I would like to teach ESL face to face because I have been teaching ESL online for a few years now.

I have one year experience in teaching English in Paris.
Classes had around 20 students, aged from 7 to 9 years old.

I have taught kindergarten for a year in Hanoi, Vietnam focusing on English learning and speaking skills. My teaching style is energetic, creative, and patient – I like the students to feel comfortable to practice their English and have fun while also learning.

I am a young professional who is looking to pursue my life long dream of teaching English abroad. Through my managerial position I held I learned how to train others to achieve success in our company. I plan to use the same skills I developed through that position to bond with individuals and understand how I can best assist them in progressing with their English studies. I am passionate about helping others while learning from a new culture simultaneously.

I am outgoing and eager to learn new things myself, so I am very excited to teach others new things and share that! I am able to multitask well and I also enjoy making the process of doing things fun whenever possible. I am very organised and detail-oriented. I am also a very positive person who believes that with enough hard work, anyone can achieve anything.

I have experience in working with groups of children as I formerly worked at a horse ranch that regularly had 1:1 lessons, group lessons, camps, and birthday parties with children ages 5-10 and often their parents as well. It was important to keep organised, focused, and manage not only the children but animals as well, which could be very unpredictable, so learning to be flexible with the work was a must. I also have a TEFL/TESOL certification that I completed at the end of 2018 that included a 20 hour practicum in order to obtain the certificate. I have experience working with both young and adult learners — my oldest student was 75.

I also have strong media, design, and computer skills as well, so I am able to utilise different things in order to provide different and interesting lessons.

I am a hard working young man who has experience working with young students, with both preparation for lessons and in class teaching experience. I am a kind and gentle person who believes finding the needs of the students to be an important part of delivering any lesson. I have had experience both managing a team of adults and coaching school sports which further contributes to my experience in working with people.

I have completed my BA in psychological counselling and have a natural curiosity of how people work and how to improve certain aspects in order for people to reach their full potential. I have a major curiosity for spirituality and use meditation and sport in order to keep my mind and body working at their highest capacity.

I'm an extremely positive and flexible person. I was born into a military family. This means that my father was assigned a new job in a new town every 3 years of my life until he retired in October of 2016. In the United States of America I have lived in Texas (where I was born), California, Georgia (where I graduated high school) Hawaii (my personal favorite), and Maryland (where I received my Bachelor of Science degree). Outside of The States I have spent time living in Germany and France. This upbringing left me with an insatiable love for learning new cultures, languages, people and traveling the world. I find new things exciting and my love to learn branches out much further than academics.
The skills I could contribute to my success include my computer literacy, exceptional listening skills, organizational skills, and my interpersonal abilities. However, my greatest contribution would be the ability to self direct and drive to do my best. Such things as my experience in environmental biology, sustainability, and education can be seen in my resume. I can quickly analyze research data and raise team morale whilst multitasking in order to achieve personal goals.
These qualities are what made me able to accumulate myself into different schools and work environments my entire life while providing me with a passion for experience. Lately my personal goal is to learn the Korean language. In order to do so I spend an hour every day on self study using textbooks I’ve ordered from TalktoMeinKorean.com, followed by videos of native Korean speakers for at least another hour a day.
