My name is Nokwazi Mkhize, I am a 27 year old Supply chain professional. I first became interested in
teaching when I was helping my niece and nephew do their homework. My passion for teaching was
ignited when I would watch them go from confusion to mastering a concept. Seeing the difference
patience and attention makes made me realise I enjoy working with children.
My degree and subsequent work experience in supply chain and logistics, this field has taught me
the importance of process and preparedness. While I was a student the University of KwaZulu-Natal,
I had a stint as a tutor in University. Tutoring other students grew my passion and enthusiasm for teaching.
It was during this time that I gained an appreciation of the importance of valuing each learner as an
individual, as well as part of a community.
I aim to give children as many learning opportunities and experiences as possible in order to engage,
motivate and improve their command of the English language.
Learning about the cultural similarities and differences between South Africa and China (Asia)
especially the learning culture have influenced my decision to apply for this opportunity.

Thank you for taking the time to review my resume. I am including a brief summary of my qualifications and career intentions for your review. At present, I am living in Seoul and am seeking employment in teaching to further my career, education, and to hold meaningful employment. My target position is with adult business professionals and teaching at a university level, but my certification includes skills training in elementary and secondary school learning. My current positions include instruction of school age children. I would have to complete a visa run.

I hold a recent 150 hour TEFL certificate and am completing my specific purpose certification in Business English. Relatedly, I am enrolled in an online international MBA program located in Tokyo studying general international business. Although not now taking classes, I hope to earn enough to pay tuition and begin teaching at a university level later.

As a current graduate student at Yonsei University in Seoul, I have come to experience the educational sphere in Korea first-hand and am truly excited at the prospect of becoming an English language educator in Korea. While living in Seoul, I have had the experience of conducting private tutoring lessons to students of all ages, in both one on one and group environments. During my time in the United States, I have taken numerous courses regarding the ins and outs of teach English as a foreign language, including courses on grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and classroom management strategies. I am eager to continue learning about Korean history, language and culture by actively exploring all that Korea has to offer, and at the same time exchange my own experiences in America and share my own culture with my prospective Korean students.
