I found this position via lovetefljobs.com and judging by the list of criteria I believe I am the right candidate for this position. As a recent Tefl.org graduate with a BSc in media production I have developed a myriad of skills tailored for and transferable to teaching english online. In my professional life I have demonstrated the enthusiasm, motivation and communication skills to interact with others in my customer service positions, as well as the discipline, time-management and planning to operate in the head office.

My passion for teaching comes from a diverse range of past experiences in both my professional and personal life. The patience and kindness afforded to me by my teachers as well as my experience working with the children's charity kaine inspired me to join the profession. After completing a 120 TEFL course I developed a comprehensive range of skills tailored to teaching english to a wide range of students from grammar to lesson planning & executing. Working with Kaine as a media officer I was required to create educational materials designed to engage and teach students. Through creative use of graphic and audio I broke down complex topics into media that students could easily understand. I was also responsible for mentoring two 16 year old students in media. As a designer/social media manager I regularly gave presentations to pitch marketing campaigns. Here I demonstrated excellent communication skills.

Some of my best strengths are working with children at every age group. I am able to communicate and understand well with children. My name is Matthew Murphy and I am 29 years old. It has been a dream of mine to teach English as a foreign language for a number of years. I have recently completed my Masters graduate online programme (150 hours) and wish to move to South Korean in early 2020.
I visited Seoul in September and found the culture extremely intriguing. I loved every minute of being there and wish to return shortly.

One of my favourite jobs I had was being a football coach for a children's summer camp. I loved every minute or working with children and I found teaching a child a new skill to be extremely rewarding. I would love to be in such an environment once again.

I am currently the General Manager of a very busy restaurant. The skills I have developed through this role will greatly assist me in becoming the best teacher I can possibly be.
The skills of leading and training a team of 20-25 staff on a daily basis, ensuring staff are performing correctly and analysing areas staff may need retraining in.
The skills of forecasting and hitting targets on a weekly, monthly and six monthly basis. I must monitoring how progression is going and adjust accordingly.

I am a native English speaker with a degree in English. I have a passion for teaching, travelling, and new experiences. I am a responsible person who can adapt to new situations easily.

My background, as relevant to this position, includes work with young students in and out of schools. I have taught professionally and full-time as an English (EFL) Teacher in Bat Yam, Israel in a local elementary school and am currently a virtual English Teacher for Chinese students providing successful lessons to individual students to improve their language in a comprehensive way.

Currently, I hold a bachelor’s degree in Speech Communication from Millersville University and a government-issued license in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) from Levinsky College of Education, qualifying me to teach in any school as a full-time English Teacher.

In my current position as an English Teacher for VIPKID, I engage with students virtually in one-on-one lessons and develop skills in reading, writing and speaking.

In addition to my education and work experience, which you can read more about on my CV, I have learned skills in classroom management, lesson planning, creative thinking, and have developed personal tools to make a student more successful.
