I have this huge passion for working with people and being socially involved in a work setting. With a well-informed background about entrepreneurial initiatives, I possess a specific set of skills relating to leadership, sales and marketing. My postgraduate training involves treatise research, group and individual presentations, and designing and delivering short training courses. I firmly believe that my honours training has adequately prepared me for the world of work and I would love the opportunity to apply my skills and abilities at a prestigious organization.

I am a conscientious person, who is highly organised and, an effective and attentive speaker as well as listener who pays attention to detail. I am diligent, self-motivated, and highly ambitious with my goals clearly set. I am a fast and enthusiastic learner and quick to pick up new skills, learn and draw inspiration from others. I have a bachelors degree in Strategic Marketing Communications and this course has prepared me to do well, not only with work, but any given challenge, as it required initiative, self-motivation and a lot of team work. My experience at the University of Johannesburg has fostered a sense of responsibility within me.

Experience –
For the last year, I have been teaching Middle School students at Woni Middle School on behalf of the EPIK program. It's been a very rewarding experience, and I'm going to miss the school. Middle teaching taught me the realities of a classroom and English teaching beyond what I had in my TEFL course. Woni is a well funded middle school with reasonably high expectations. I ran 11 lessons for 9 classes. I laboured hard in Powerpoint and Word, using lots of pictures and presentations to really get the most of the content. I developed a decent catalogue of games and activities, testing what worked and what didn't with the kids.

Personality –
I'm hard working, I get very into tasks. I found myself going out of my way to refine my classes.

I have an eye for improvement and a thirst for it. In myself, I work hard to better myself and change. As a teacher, this comes out in trial and error improvement in the lesson planning and an eye for target content. I want to improve in everything I do.

I don't get embarrassed in the classroom. I can be doing the most ridiculous stuff with the kids and I just commit to it. I make myself laugh with what I do and carry on the lesson.

I was recently teaching English as a foreign language at a school in Yangzhou China to children between the ages from 3-8 and I absolutely loved it! It was incredibly rewarding to see the positive impact I was able to make on their lives and their smiles as they continued to learn and grow.

I have the innate ability to be able to connect with children, even the shyest ones. They trust me and look up to me due to my endless patience and calming manner.

I am a motivated, dedicated and pro-active qualified accountant seeking an English teaching position. I am currently in the process of finalising the Level 5 TEFL Certification with the TEFL Academy (70% complete).

My professional experience to date primarily lies in the fast-paced financial services industry where I was responsible for leading teams in the provision of risk-based services for clients in a multitude of industries. Working in a training accounting firm has ensured that I have excellent communication skills and am experienced transferring knowledge to less experienced peers to ensure that their skillsets are developed and their own goals are achieved. This type of work has provided me with excellent communication and organisation skills, as well as problem solving, remaining calm in challenging situations and the ability to adapt to changing teams and projects.

I have experience providing training to colleagues on numerous occasions on various topics that include quality assurance, project management and stakeholder management. I have also volunteered as part of an Irish literacy programme teaching young students (age 10/11 years) about strong female characters. Additionally, I am a volunteer with special olympics Ireland and assist a local club with their athletics training.

Furthermore, I have two special needs younger brothers who I care for on a part time basis so am therefore extremely comfortable working with children and people with special needs.

I have a passion for exploring different cultures and sharing my own culture with new people and am excited to take a break from my current career in finance and pursue teaching English in Asia.

My work experience within the financial industry across Europe has given me the ability to excel in a fast pace environment. The type of work I was involved in gave me the skills in remaining calm under pressure, adapting to different teams, projects and environments quickly and comfortably, and coaching and mentoring. I spent time onboarding junior staff members in our systems, coaching and mentoring them throughout the project and helping them meet their project goals and deadlines. I am comfortable in a training role and enjoy helping people and seeing a progression in their performance.

I have worked across teams of colleagues of different nationalities and cultures. I communicate with non-native English speakers everyday and have learned how to communicate in an effective and clear way. Over the past few years, I have lived in several different countries, which has allowed me to become more open-minded and flexible. I have a passion for exploring different cultures and sharing my own culture with new people.

I have volunteering experience with my local girl guides troop. This volunteering involved working with children. I would organize games, activities and crafts and help to facilitate all of these activities. This experience gave me skills in practicing patience. Furthermore, due to this volunteering I am at ease working with children.

I am a native speaker of English from New York, hold a Master of Public Health degree and a Print Journalism degree (concentation in English), and a 120 hour TEFL certificate.

I have several years experience teaching children and teenagers about health. I have also led field trips for children at the Central Park Zoo, educating them about the environment. I passed background checks for both positions.

I spent two months volunteering as a teacher's assistant at Friendship Village in Hanoi, Vietnam. Friendship Village is a residential community for those disabled by Agent Orange.
