Having passed the 120 hour online TEFL course, I flew to Hanoi in January 2020 to begin an EFL teaching internship through Fluent Vietnam. This included teacher training in Hanoi, and further training through Dang Tuan Language Centre in Haiphong, using the Cambridge curriculum. I delivered ten 40 minute lessons with primary school students (aged 5 – 10), before schools closed across the country due to the Coronavirus pandemic. As Haiphong is located 1700km from the Chinese border, I made the difficult decision to cut the internship short and fly back to the UK early February.

The reason this vacancy appeals is the incredible opportunity to explore South Korea, whilst honing my teaching skills over the academic year. Having travelled to Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia and Vietnam, I’m really keen to learn about the history and culture of SK, taste the cuisine and visit the beaches, museums, and cities.

What I can bring to the role is a confident and methodical approach to teaching, which allows the students to figure the language out for themselves, and apply it naturally. I have a clear English accent, which will be easy for the students to understand, but will also help with pronunciation.

Throughout life I have always felt a pull towards helping others in any way that I could. This is what I consider one of my strengths, as I will always do my best to assist those around me with their needs.

Throughout my varies jobs such as waitressing or working as a reservations agent, I have learnt how to effectively communicate and help many types of people. From difficult to friendly, I am able to understand people’s needs and how to approach all situations thoughtfully. I am adaptable and able to learn on the spot.

Balancing both a full time degree and a part-time job has also given me both time management and organisational skills. I believe that these are all skills that are transferable and adaptable towards the role of teaching.

The use of language is close to my heart as I personally use my words to write songs that tell stories. My university degree focused on how words and phrases can have an impact on those around us, and how to use that to your advantage. This is why I believe I will be able to engage students in their discovery of a language different to their native.

I have worked for three years in a child care setting, as well as had work experience teaching Japanese to elementary school children while in high school (this was with the help of a Japanese teacher). I also hav3 English Teaching experience in a winter program while I studied aboard in Korea.

I am a happy and out going person, who loves kids and loves to help them learn. I have wanted to teach English sense a young age and have centred my studies around this.

I am very good with kids and teaching them, I had little to know problems when teaching in Korea over my winter break. I can adapt fast and work very well under pressure.

I have often been told by my students’ and peers that they feel loved and cared for in my classroom. Having grown up in a financially struggling household myself, I am always alert to clues that a child might be hungry, tired or in need. i always to give my 100 percent effort in any situation. i have learned that different people learn at different paces so its all ways go to show empathy.

Hello, I'm Warren, 24, from South Africa , I'm a Bachelor of Science degree holder in Pure and Applied Mathematics (2018), and a TEFL/TESOL 120 HOUR. I've been an ESL/MATH teacher in China for two and a half years, working with students aged 2-16 – currently teaching ESL online for 6 months. I've also worked as an Academic Coordinator for the school, and created marketing events for promotion. I have a wide array of knowledge stemming from K1- Primary level. I've also created academic activities for marketing and promotion. I've tutored primary level mathematics – grade 4 – for one year and Optimization at university level, third year level.

I am a good communicator, diplomatic and have the ability to fit with all sorts of people. I am hard working and have a positive and flexible approach to work. A creative thinker, I rise to the challenge of seeking solutions. I am calm under pressure, a must in the film industry. I'm a self-starter, and have worked in many roles: PA, for a CEO, Office Manager, Film Production Assistant and Film Assistant Location Manager to name a few.

I have been contracted on a temporary basis at many companies whereby, having been booked for an initial short contract, my employer has taken me on permanently. This is evidence of my ability to fit in with all sorts of people and my hard working nature.

I love literature and the English language and that's why I studied it at Royal Holloway, University of London.

I’m interested in Korean culture, history and progress. My brother’s family have visited four times. They were so impressed with the politeness of the Koreans, the cleanliness of the place and the entertainment. I am fascinated with Korea and hope to travel to your country soon.

I have been a manager in the hospitality industry for over twenty years in which time I have shown an ability to train staff and managers to understand their job roles. I am also a great ambassador for the organisations I work for as I am personable and can talk to people at all levels of the organisation with confidence. I love working in customer service as you can understand what people want and deliver, as well as resolve issues a to a satisfactory outcome.

I am a calm and friendly individual and I believe this helps me understand people and help them in the best way I can. I am passionate is Korean culture and language I am learning Korean at the moment. 

My experience:
At college, as part of my personal development, I worked closely with junior students. Junior students would approach senior students for guidance and help in practical and academic work.
Senior students were also required to teach practical lessons, evaluate junior students assessments and to act as mentor guiding them through the year.

Why I want ot teach in korea
I visited Korea for 7 weeks last year, and really enjoyed the culture and lifestyle that Korea has to offer. Learning more about the culture and language is one on my key interests.
Teaching provides students with the tools and knowledge to thrive in the adult world and find their passion as I did. Inspirational teachers can excite and influence children, helping them to improve their knowledge and grades. I have been fortunate in my own learning to have been guided by some outstanding teachers. My science teacher at school was extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic, which inspired his students and helped them all to achieve better grades. One of my lectures had extraordinary energy and high expectations of her students, providing guidance and support which reflected in the achievements in her students. These two teachers provided me with a role model and standards of what teaching should be.
English as a second language is vital in today’s interconnected world, opening up more opportunities for the next generation. Being able to teach English in Korea is a fantastic opportunity to be a part of a child’s development and growth, in a vibrant and exciting culture.

I am an experienced professional educator. I have created custom course curriculum with lessons specifically catered for my students to achieve the best results possible.
