A confident native speaker that enjoys educating people of all ages. Has over 3 years of teaching ESL in Thailand and in the U.K. I have fallen in love with south east Asia's food, culture, and entertainment. I now call Thailand my second home. However I am looking forward to discovering a new journey in south Korea. This year due to lock down in the U.K. I have spent much of my time learning hangul language and watching Korean series.

I am looking forward to being part of developing students English language in Korea. I am a calm vibrant person that feels comfortable talking in front of large groups, due to having experience teaching in university conference halls in Thailand. Besides from teaching I have worked in other sectors such as customer services and management therefore my communication skills are effective.

Moreover I am eager to work as part of the team to help Korean schools achieve there goals. At my previous work place during my free time I contributed to holding marketing events and workshop events with the goal to attract new students.

In my spare time I love traveling and socializing, after I graduated college myself and two friends backpacked more that 20 countries! Korea was actually one of the places we went.

I am a Charismatic and dependable teacher with nearly 5 years experience delivering educational assistance and instructions to various level of learners. Committed to providing students with necessary tools to achieve academic goals. Instilling love of learning and cooperative teamwork. Adept in application of excellent communication and problem solving skills.

Through my experience to date, I feel I have many strengths suitable for this position. My role as a language teacher in Shanghai, China has particularly demonstrated these strengths by the resilience, adaptability and outgoing nature needed to move abroad on my own. I found my love for teaching and have proved my patient and caring nature with the teaching of Chinese children. I have excellent communication and leadership skills that I have gained by my work in managing a nightclub bar and leading a classroom as well as other various job roles I have completed. I love being challenged and am excited by the prospect of experiencing new cultures.

As a professional young woman, I am confident I have the qualifications required to contribute to your field of work as well as add some of my own perspective and experience. While my attached resume outlines my in-depth experience and professional development, it does not fully encapsulate my passion for teaching and shaping the minds of young children. Having been admitted to a mandarin emersion program when I was a child, I understand how important being bilingual is in every day life as well as professional development. It has allowed me to broaden my perspective and appreciate a wide variety of other cultures. My background includes roles such as an English as a Second Language teacher in the Philippines and a Sexual Health Peer Facilitator at Lewis & Clark College. Both of these roles have allowed me to master communication skills and a diligent mindset crucial for this job. Although these positions do not fall neatly under one category, they have pushed me to adapt and react to many different and uncontrollable circumstances. With my psychology major, I am able to understand other people from a very analytical and empathetic position that I believe would be extremely beneficial toward becoming an English teacher. Additionally, as a rhetoric and media studies minor, I will be able to provide effective theoretical and methodological tools for understanding how public messages, images, texts, stories, conversations, and symbols work in diverse societies. I am very passionate about working with children and have even begun work toward achieving my Level 5 TEFL certificate (168 hours). I have nearly a year of English-language tutoring experience for students 5-18; topics I teach include academic essay writing, reading comprehension, grammar, verbal communication, listening, literature appreciation, and college prep English. I am motivating, upbeat, passionate, and dedicated to my students.

Aside from my English teaching experience, I believe my expertise in creating English-language content and experience in the Korean work environment makes me the ideal candidate for this position. All of my documents are ready to go for my E2 visa. In addition to this, I am currently taking a TEFL course and am expected to complete it by the end of March.

In High School I interned for a local ESL class for immigrants. Throughout my corporate positions I have lead peer training classes and forums on a regular basis, not all for language functions, but they all involved adult and youth learning skills and techniques.

Over all I am a go-getter. I like to set the standard. But, on the other side, I enjoy sharing my knowledge whether it is in conversation or a classroom. I also enjoy learning, especially new information, skills, and worldviews.

I am excellent at getting along with many different people. I have experience at having to react quickly think of a solution to problems that crop up. I am an Eagle scout.

I am a committed, hardworking and conscientious English Literature and Language graduate from England, a friendly and vibrant member of the community, and good with people of all ages.

For the last three years I have been living in Beijing, working as a Lead English teacher at two different International Schools. This experience has allowed me to refine my understanding of the intricacies and details in the composition of the English Language and further inspired to continue teaching English as a Foreign Language. I have also spent time developing some important skills that are constantly utilised whilst teaching English including; how to develop lesson plans for interesting, intriguing and informative classes, depending on a variety of factors, classroom management and effective communication with colleagues with a different native language.

I am positive, confident and enthusiastic and after spending this time working in China I am excited and enthusiastic to continue developing my career, and I am open to any opportunities that may be available.

I have accumulated a wealth of professional experience across multiple industries since the age of seventeen. I have previously worked in Southeast Asia during my time in the Merchant Navy, so I am familiar with working abroad and with people who do not speak English as their first language.
