I am passionate about the English language and have a great deal of experience working with it. This includes through my English literature degree and my work as print news editor for my student newspaper.

I also have a great deal of professional experience working in a team. I currently work at UBS where I collaborate with others on a daily basis to achieve a variety of goals. I also oversee long term projects and help to see them through.

Finally, I am a positive and enthusiastic person who will throw myself into any challenges or new experiences. Furthermore, I am kind-natured and friendly which makes me well suited to working with children.

I am highly adaptable to change.I’ve always considered myself to have a strong work ethic; I always aim to meet deadlines.I am discipline in my work, Patient and determined and I have a genuine interest in working with and helping develop children to reach their full potential.
I have often been told by my students’ parents that their children feel loved and cared for in my classroom. When I started teaching, one of my student caught my eye as being constantly aggressive and hostile. I kept him after school for an hour each week, but instead of detention, I asked him to help me clean up the classroom and prepare the lessons for the next day. He just wanted to talk, and I could sense that. At the end of the year the parent thank me for my patience and care I gave to the children.The meaningful contribution made in overcoming challenges in the classroom to help create a productive and happy learning environment

As part of my bachelors degree, I studied a module called 'Communicating and teaching Mathematics', which involved researching and evaluating how effective various teaching methodologies are in different scenarios. From this, I am able to determine which teaching style is most suitable in specific contexts and develop a good understanding of child development. In addition, we were also required to design two learning resources for secondary school students. My creativity enabled me to produce original and engaging content that aided the students in transitioning to their next level of education.

Having worked as a private Maths tutor for Primary and Secondary school students and as a Mentor for first year university students, I have experience in working with a variety of age groups. I was able to successfully adapt my style and produce the appropriate learning material for the differing audiences. I created a positive energy within my lessons to inspire confidence in the students and to motivate them to achieve their full potential. Also, my personable approach allowed me to quickly build trusting relationships.

As a hobby, I have a huge interest in travelling and embracing different cultures. Given there are over 160 nationalities at my university, I am experienced in working in a multicultural setting and I am sensitive to different cultural values and customs. I would also hope to share insight on British culture with others.

I am currently a experienced English tutor who has taught students of all ages. I'm passionate about mentoring students in improving their academic and personal development. I have excellent communication skills to help their students understand complex ideas.
I have a very positive attitude which helped motivate students by emphasising their strong points and encouraging them to challenge themselves.

I am an American who grew up in the Bahamas, and I attended an International Baccalaureate program primary school in the Bahamas before going to an elite International
boarding high school in the U.S. with about 300 students from over 30 countries. I then went
to a top university in Canada and have also travelled to now 29 countries. I believe that me
teaching in Incheon would be a fantastic opportunity for both myself and your students- to
further expand my skill base, gain new cultural and historical insight, and for me to share my
passion for learning, reading and writing, as well as my unique life experiences with the
students there in order to further expand their horizons. I am an incredibly friendly, positive and encouraging person to my family, friends, coworkers and students and have been told that my energy lights up every room that I enter.
In terms of visual, verbal and kinesthetic learners, I thoroughly enjoy incorporating
presentations and arts and craft projects into my lessons and I am very skilled with visual arts,
musical lessons, keynote and powerpoint presentations, and utilizing technology, while also
including unique physical and tactile learning activities that I have used in my university
projects, coaching, tutoring, and both my artistic and scientific endeavors.
My expertise and studies in early child development and psychology, along with writing for children’s literature will also be a wonderful asset to have. I have also worked remotely for my research jobs in the past and I have both learned and tutored remotely amidst the current global pandemic via Zoom. I say this to assure you that I would be perfectly equipped to teach remotely should COVID-19 circumstances change.

A personal attribute of mine that I think will benefit this workplace is that I am very patient. As children grow, they learn how to socialize and communicate with others. At first, it may be difficult to understand children as they learn these developmental skills, but I am willing to calmly interact with the student in order to fully comprehend their perspective of the situation.

In addition to patience, I am very friendly. In fact, strangers often ask me for directions or other types of assistance while I am walking around town. With childcare educational programs, I want children to be able to have fun with a variety of activities, and I believe that if I present myself with an optimistic yet professional attitude, I can become more approachable to children if they require assistance.

An experience that may contribute to my qualifications is my employment with the City of Richmond as a substitute sports instructor, preschool worker, and day camp volunteer. During those times, I interacted with a variety of age groups including preschoolers, and I was able to support the children by planning and implementing games into the class. If situations arose where children misbehaved, I was able to digress the matter by calmly speaking to them about their actions. Resolving issues also allowed me to communicate well with other employees and meticulously carry out duties assigned to me.

I am a native English speaker with elementary Spanish skills (I will be completing A2 Spanish in June 2021) and I am looking for new career opportunities abroad and online. With TEFL education catering to all levels and ages, I am confident in my ability to become an asset to any school and I am open to relocating internationally as well as teaching online.

Holding an MA International Journalism, BA English Literature and a 120-Hour TEFL Certificate, I have a solid educational bedrock to begin a career as a TEFL and the friendliness, empathy and commitment to help your students achieve their goals. What is more, I will be completing a 6-hour practicum course with TEFL.org at the end of June to gain better classroom insight to take into my first teaching roles.

As my attached CV illustrates, I have a lot of experience working in and overseeing large teams. As a very outgoing and sociable person, it is something I never get tired of. I am an outgoing personality who can adapt to new environments very quickly. I’m a hard-working and well-organised person who is always looking to get more creative in their lesson planning.

I have a passion for language! Whether it’s teaching, reading, writing or speaking, my brain lights up at the thought of linguistics.

I believe I possess the skills it takes to thrive as an English teacher because I hold a BA Languages degree where I majored in English literature and Spanish. Through that, I have experience analyzing texts, writing essays; creative pieces and editing written texts. I believe those skills along with my passion, would make me an amazing teacher.

After university I obtained a TEFL qualification that trained me to teach English as a foreign language. That helped me focus on the fundamentals of English.
For those reasons, I have exceptional writing skills in English and a great eye for detail when it comes to writing and speaking.

My knowledge of a foreign language, among other South African languages, allows me to be culturally aware and use this diversity as a tool in my my work.

I am currently a digital copywriter intern.
I am aware that I don’t have a vast amount experience as a teacher, however what I lack in experience, I make up for through being a hard working and dedicated individual. I am a fast learner and I believe that there isn’t a task that I put my head to that I can’t complete.

I'm a very warm and outgoing person who loves working with children. I am dedicated to delivering the best possible education for my students and like to teach using a variety of different methods.

I'm a very teach savvy person and since Covid-19 I have become very skilled in creating colourful, fun and interactive PowerPoint presentations, along with filming lessons and editing.

I have experience in teaching not only Phonics but also oral English, PE, arts and crafts, music and movement and cooking. I can sing well and I can also teach hula hoop tricks and poi spinning.

In my experience as a teaching assistant at a local secondary school I gained an insight into both the demands of teachers and the importance of teacher/student relationships. This role required initiative, self-confidence, and the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations. I have developed the ability to interact with pupils on a professional and nurturing level. As well as subject planning, I was responsible for preparing worksheets, activities, and homework to enable students to improve their grades. I became aware of the satisfaction that can be gained in working with children through observing their development, progress, and achievements. Initial teaching skills were developed when I began working as a tutor which consisted of two hours per week at the local community centre. I planned and delivered revision sessions allowing the students to compare what they knew before the revision lesson and what they knew after it was discussed as a class.
I am a motivated individual who is realistic and acknowledges the many challenges that teaching will bring and strives to meet them. Recent teaching experience has taught me that every child is capable of reaching tremendous heights and it is my goal to possess the required skills, qualities, and attitude to successfully play a key role in helping them to achieve their true potential.
