I am an energetic, fun teacher with 13 years of teaching experience that include ages pre-kinder to elementary. I have taught in the USA, South Korea, Japan and Mexico. My last position was at a Chinese bilingual school in Seattle where I was the lead teacher for 20 pre-k students. I was recognized by parents for building students' English reading skills to a first-grade level. In Suncheon, South Korea, I worked for the government at City Hall where I taught ages kindergarten to middle school.

As a teacher, I take pride in my students' achievements and academic development. I have gained ample experience in the following areas:

Building phonemic awareness, phonics and vocabulary for reading and literacy.

I have excellent written and spoken English as a graduate with First Class honours of English Literature from Trinity College, Dublin. I am a native speaker of British English and am currently enrolled in a 168 hour Level 5 certification course with TEFL, which I hope to complete by September.
I am a friendly and driven person eager to share my language skills with non-native and non-English speakers; I likewise hope to gain some tutoring experience from my TEFL course before moving to South Korea to teach. I am very interested in the culture and customs of South Korea and would love the opportunity to work in an exciting environment and completely immerse myself in both a new language and lifestyle. Though my current understanding of Korean only covers basic sentences and a limited vocabulary, I hope to gain greater proficiency by studying Korean alongside my TEFL enrolment, despite this not being a requirement for this role.
My best skills are my excellent organisation and time management, both of which helped me as Editor-in-Chief of TN2, a student-run arts and culture magazine. I developed my negotiation skills and interpersonal communication in this role, as well as learning the value of effective teamwork and a detail-oriented approach to new challenges. This leadership position also helped prepared me for teaching roles in terms of learning the values of both authority and mutual respect in a professional setting.
I have a comprehensive understanding of English grammar and writing, and my interest in literature which encouraged me to pursue my degree, gave me an understanding of the value cultural tools can have in creating new methods of education. I hope to apply my love of literature to future lesson plans and create new learning opportunities for those seeking to improve their English.

Experience :
Worked for a government run and prime minister approved programme for young people age 16-17 years old for about 3 years . As Team Leader I planned the required lessons from the curriculum , planned and prepared games and activities for 15 of the young people . Attended meetings , made phone calls to parents when required for updates on each young person weekly . Maintained their safety , completed weekly paper work as required . Taught skills required for applying for jobs and further education such as university or apprenticeships

Voluntarily taught elementary students maths . Did this for about 3 months . As programme leader , I Planned and prepared maths questions and activities with the aim of improving their maths skills whilst also ensuring the students were engaged through the use of fun maths activities

I believe, due to my previous professions, I have many qualities that make me a great candidate for teaching in Korea. In many of my previous positions, I engaged with a number of diverse communities and individuals. I have had no trouble at all with interacting with and teaching others.

I worked at the University of Essex as part of the university welfare staff. I acted as the first point of call for over 400 designated university students when it came to academic assistance and peer counselling. I learned the responsibility that comes with being an educator, particularly to a range of internationally diverse students with different needs and expectations. I understand was it means to be patient and compassionate with students when things are challenging and I am an excellent mentor and motivator.

In my job as a recruiter, I had many other experiences dealing with different cultures, interacting with clients and staff, from junior all the way up to senior management level in many European countries. I have had plenty of experience dealing with strict deadlines and high targets and so, I understand it is important to always be adaptable, prepared, and ready for anything.

In my career debating, I have experience coaching high school students in debating and public speaking in a number of formats such as Oxford, British Parliamentary, and Model United Nations. As such, I have learned the value of teaching others how to communicate clearly and effectively in a way that is still interesting and fresh. It would also be fun to teach these practices to new students!

On a personal note, I consider myself very professional, responsible and hard-working, but also someone who can be entertaining and fun!

I have tutored for three years at my university, giving me some experience in the education sector. I am always ready for a challenge, or a way to learn more about new cultures. I am normally very patient, calm, and positive with the students I tutor, and I am able to quickly think on my feet.

My name is Anna Babalola, I am a graduate from New England College with a BA in Fine Arts.I have experience in art for over 8 years and while in college I volunteered in a program to teach art to students starting from kindergarten to the 12th grade.
With the little experience I had teaching the students I am confident that I will be a great fit to either teach English or Art to students of whatever grade you are willing to assign me to. I have recently completed my BSc in Economics and Financial management from the University of Hull Business School, I also hold a TEFL 120 hours certificate. During my studies I produced high quality work and enjoyed engaging with other students.

I am bilingual in French having grown up in France. Growing up in a different country enabled me to have a dual culture and understand differences in languages. This was also useful as I taught english to french speakers whilst at university on online platforms.

I have also been a keen rower since the age of ten. Whilst at university, I was the club captain. This meant that I organised transport and people’s training sessions between squads. The competitive atmosphere and team spirit led me to finish fourth in France and third in the university championships. Undertaking rowing means that I am an energetic and focused individual who enjoys traveling and people.

Finally I completed an 18 month work placement whilsts at university in contract compliance. I managed my own time and was the lead audit for our French clients. Furthermore, I introduce a taylored training program for my department as I noticed an area for improvement within the company. I produced a professional and logical document that is used to train new comers within the business.

I am a BSc Psychology graduate from the University of Hull. As a student and having worked in the public hospitality sector I am experienced in working in a demanding environment, capable of organising and prioritising my own workload.

During my studies, I have completed three qualifications including mental health first aider training for both adults and children as well as a Level 2 Mental Wellbeing course for young children. I have gained the ability to apply both interpersonal and professional attributes when working with students of all ages and backgrounds. I am approachable and confident with the ability to work as a team, listening to and giving instructions whilst producing work of a high standard.

My ongoing passion is for dance, which I have consistently taken part in since the age of 4. In this past year, I decided I wanted to push myself further and after auditioning I was given the opportunity to teach my own ballet class to a select group of students within the University.

In the past I’ve worked with children of a wide range of ages all the way through from 3 up to around 14 years old. I have completed a placement at a primary school working with multiple age groups as well as shadowing a learning mentor whilst working with children with special educational needs. As well as this, for 2 years I voluntarily supported and taught dancers at my previous dance school and offered one to one sessions with children struggling with the technique in their dance classes.
