ESL Teachers

I have a Bachelor's in English with a concentration in literature. I am currently teaching ESL in Busan. I have two years of teaching experience. I would describe myself as a positive and outgoing teacher. I am extremely patient and understanding. I am good with classroom technology.

As a graduate from the University of North Carolina Wilmington with a major in English – Professional writing, paired with spending my entire life in an English speaking country, I can confidently say I have an expert-level grasp on the language and its mechanics and grammar. During my college education, I excelled as a writer, exercising my strengths in the field of professional writing. I believe that with my knowledge of the language and education in the writing space I can impart my skills to the next generation that want to learn English.

As for my personality, I am fond of children and find that I enjoy spending time with them, and they enjoy interacting with me. I embrace new experiences in my life and strive for excellence in every work opportunity that I am in.

I think that both my knowledge of English and my understanding and ability to interact with children would make me an ideal TEFL instructor, and I hope I will be considered for a position.

As an English graduate, I have the necessary skills needed to become an effective teacher. I believe that the modules covered in my English course prepared me to teach and communicate at the individual level. For instance the basics of linguistics and the function of a text structure covered in my course has shown helped me understand the importance of not just teaching but making sure students truly understand the basics of a subject. Furthermore in addition to the theoretical knowledge of the course, I have also gained practical experience in one of my modules. In the Teacher Training Taster module, I have delivered a teaching session to fellow classmates.

I'm an outgoing bubble and friendly person. I'm very approachable and I am told I'm easy to talk to.

Due to the highly social and group based nature of a musical performance degree I have become accustomed to leading groups of varying sizes in activities. During my degree I studied teaching practices which I would love to apply on a larger scale. Prior to my degree I also studied English literature at A-Level for 2 years and have been an active reader for most of my life.

Forming new relationships, both personal and professional, comes very naturally as a result of networking throughout the course of my education and professional career. Furthermore, I worked a full time job alongside the final year of my degree and have experience handling a high workload over a long period of time.

I have a very approachable and down to earth personality, I enjoy being challenged and believe teaching abroad would provide me with valuable life experience.

I am punctual, diligent and enjoy placing myself in new environments while learning from new challenges.
I also enjoy applying humor in my day-to-day life. It is important to keep students focused on lesson plans however, it helps to apply some level of humor and fun to keep them engaged.
I am very passionate about music and have taught guitar to young people. I have also played with several music groups and performed on stage.
I love travelling and to have a chance to teach people a new skill while also appreciating a new culture is something that I have aspired to do for a number of years.

I have been teaching both English and Math in some capacity for over 10 years, and I love what I do. I have worked with a few organizations preparing students for standardized tests. I earned a TEFL and will be completing my teacher certification either at the end of this semester or at the beginning of next semester.
It has been said that I am very patient, fun, and dedicated as a teacher. Both my in-person and online students become more confident, stronger students and more self-aware people who I believe will be very successful in life. I have worked with mostly middle and high school students, but I have always been very open to all ages.
I believe that my time management, interpersonal skills, computer skills, and communication skills are my strengths. I can communicate effectively with anyone, as that skill is necessary to ensure that the ultimate goals are met. I would hope that any other skills I need I can be taught or trained to be able to have.

My education is in fine arts, so I have a unique approach to problem solving. I approach teaching with the knowledge that everyone has strengths to build upon, and gain successes. It’s not “Can we do it?”, but “How will we do it?”

Having a true passion for helping people reach their goals is undoubtedly a major strength of mine. I started teaching as a volunteer, for community involvement, and I found it gratifying. I had been working in the Fine Arts industry of New York, NY, and I felt dissatisfied. While I was fulfilling my “dream”, I wasn’t making any positive impact in my community. That drove me into teaching and although I’ve taken a break from it, I’m eager to support students again and share my language, culture, and encouragement.

I am an outgoing and bubbly person. I have 11 years public speaking experience.
I love working with children, and have been teaching children English for 1 year. I have always wanted to teach children.
I am very patient and kind and good at teaching as I have been teaching for 6 years.
I am a people person and have been working with the public for 4 years now and enjoyed all of it.
I have experience planning meetings and projects for and with people.
In my teaching job I have excelled in teaching grammar and sentence structure. I also have taught more basic levels of English like the alphabet, colors, and numbers.

I've taught English in mostly online classrooms for the past 5 years. I have worked with kids from the young age of 3 up to around 15 years old. I am very patient and have a fun personality which has given me a lot of success with young learners. I can understand the difficulty of learning languages, I can sympathize with the students and really see how best they would learn. Before teaching in my own classes, I had tutored children with Special Needs, helping to prepare them for tests, read books, etc. I have a Bachelors degree as well as a TEFL and TESOL certificate. I believe learning should be an enjoyable experience, one where the students will feel comfortable to try new words, phrases, or sentences. I try to have my students view mistakes as a positive, a learning opportunity.

Being a good teacher is about engaging with the students and helping them become enthusiastic about learning new things. I am a patient and driven individual, I believe my calmness under pressure will benefit my workplace environment, if I am ever placed in a difficult situation.
I am excited to be able to teach students, I want to provide them with a safe environment where they are comfortable in practising their English.
Although I do not have tremendous amounts of experience, the experience that I have is valuable and has given me enough to know that I love to teach, and I would do anything in my power to help students improve their English and fall in love with the language at the same time. When I was still at school, I had experience helping young learners in their Maths and Reading skills plus I also taught 11 year olds the negative impact of drugs, alcohol, and smoking. These skills were transferable, and I was able to apply them to my teaching experience in Romania.
With my experience in customer service, I have learned to be adaptable and to cater to individual needs. If my teaching methods are not engaging enough, I will evaluate the situation and change my lesson plan to a different pre-planned activity (it is important to have backups).
My current job and teaching experiences has given me good communication skills and empathy that will help me to relate to the students more and aids me in identifying their needs.
