As an excellent communicator and presenter, I’m now seeking to apply my skills in a second career as a teacher of English. While working in corporate America the past 5 years, I’ve taught several classes, conducted countless presentations, and trained new hires one-on-one. I’ve worked voluntarily with youth the past 3 years, so I know a bit about how to keep kids interested and learning. In addition to the skills I learned while obtaining my Bachelor of Science, I also learned how to create meaningful lessons and activities while earning my TEFL. Certification.
While I am new to EFL instruction, I have much to offer you and your students, including:
• Extensive experience in preparing and delivering presentations
• An educated, neutral U.S. accent
• An excellent command of grammar (My mother is an English professor.)
• Superior writing skills
• Teaching experience, training experience, and international experience
In addition, I view teaching as a service, and my management experience at The Welfont Group has developed in me invaluable teaching skills. Running training sessions has improved my leadership abilities, while supervising a multicultural staff has helped me to communicate with all types of people. These skills, along with my creative approach to language education, make me a strong candidate for the position of ESL Instructor.
I’m certain I can make an excellent contribution to your teaching staff. I am attaching my resume and a recent picture. Copies of transcripts and references are available upon request. I look forward to hearing from you.
