I feel that I am a fun and friendly individual. I have been working in customer service jobs the last few years so I believe that I have good communication skills. I am well-spoken and patient with people and I am good listener. I enjoy reading and talking about any topic I have some level of knowledge in.

I have experience teaching all ages in private and public school settings. I am calm, patient, flexible, and compassionate. I have experience working with diverse populations and excel at making information easily accessible. I have a strong education background and continue to learn daily. I am organized, punctual, hard working, and have exceptional communication skills.

I am an outgoing, passionate and hard-working recent University graudate with a passion for languages and teaching. I love interacting with people from different cultures as I just completed a languages degree at my University. This has given me a very good grasp on how best to learn languages as I know what the process entails, the difficulties it presents and how best to administer language exercises. I am a patient person which is key during language learning. I am also very easy going and willing to try anything, so therefore I would love the opportunity to work with children or teenagers of all ages. I have recently completed a TEFL course which has given me a basic understanding of the principles of teaching English as a foreign language however this is something that I would like to build on and put these skills into practice. I have experience of living in a foreign country as I was able to live in Barcelona for a year as part of my studies at University which enabled me to gain a better understanding of what it takes to live in another country.

I have a bright and caring personality and a passion for helping children learn and grown in their knowledge and skills. I have had teaching experience as a Sunday School teacher at a church where I created lesson plans, produced plays, and taught children aged three to ten. I have additional experience with children within my own extended family, ages one to thirteen, whom I have cared for often in the past four years. Professionally, I have had many public facing jobs where I have developed the skills of conflict resolution, trouble shooting, multitasking, and public relations. In my academic life I have sought out challenges and a well rounded selection of subjects studied, including Educational Psychology.

I have a good grounding in both informal, creative forms of teaching, through my time in Athens, I have been able to engage with children, of all different backgrounds and cultures, in as many different ways as possible, from running summer camps, sports activities, film nights, art lessons, and also formally, through my two placements in Seville.
Last year I worked at OneWay Language School in Sevilla teaching a variety of students. also taught at a local school, across all ages from six to sixteen, giving me invaluable experience of teaching in a school, alongside teaching in an academy. Both roles allowed me to gain further teaching experience, working through student books, to implementing my own lesson plans. I taught from small intensive C1 classes, working alongside another teacher particularly with the youngest students, to being tasked to take half the class out to the library to teach independently. Working in both locations was a fantastic opportunity to experience and develop my teaching methods in both an academy setting, and even more importantly in a school setting, with a wide variety of different students and levels.
The year before I worked at a different academy in Sevilla, Connect Idiomas. This was my first formal teaching position, which gave me so much confidence and desire to continue in my hope to teach English abroad.
I taught a wide variety of different ages and levels, from four year olds to adult C2 classes, and from one to one, to intensive exam preparation lessons. What I most enjoyed about this role, and also with the role at OneWay was the ability to teach such a variety of different ages, abilities and needs. Both experiences were invaluable in giving me as much exposure to learning and implementing the way in which I want to teach. I always felt supported in my role, which gave me the confidence to really pursue and experiment the ways in which to get the best out of every student, which was at the heart of everything that I did.These experiences have given me the desire to teach again and to become an English teacher, especially as a foreign language, as I feel that is the most rewarding form, and what interests me the most. The ability to not only teach but to learn about new cultures and to teach others about mine, is incredibly appealing.
I have shown through the volunteer projects and my degree that I am able to learn quickly on the job, and that I am willing to engage completely in new topics and to settle quickly into a new environment.
I have demonstrated that I can work well within a group, also individually, that I am always happy and confident to work with a wide range of different people from very different backgrounds, languages, and cultures. I believe that with these unique experiences I can offer a great deal to this role.
