I have four years of experience as a freelance English tutor for GCSE and A-level students. Through this work, I have learnt how to work one-on-one with students and tailor my lessons to the specific needs of students, teaching me how to be adaptable and responsive to different learning styles. Tutoring has also helped me develop my time-management and organisation skills as I have had to create lesson plans within a specific timeframe while balancing my other responsibilities. All these skills will help me maintain structure within a classroom and create a positive learning environment. I believe my role as a teacher will be to create a supportive environment where every student feels comfortable expressing themselves and asking questions, motivating them to learn. I am an empathetic, creative and patient individual which I believe will help me foster strong relationships with students and create engaging lessons. I also can adapt to situations quickly and have excellent problem-solving skills alongside strong verbal and oral communication skills. This combination of experience, skills and personality will make me an effective ESL teacher.

I have both online and in-person teaching experience. These experiences have given me abilities such as working well under pressure, lesson planning, and being team-oriented while yet being able to work independently. I've taught pupils of diverse ages, grades, and levels, which has given me greater flexibility, adaptability, and patience. I am an inquisitive individual who enjoys learning about many topics. I believe that being a teacher allows you to continually learn and share knowledge.

I have taught ESL three years online, elementary in Washington DC public schools, and have bachelors degree and masters degree from strong US institutions. My masters degree is from Columbia University and my undergrad is from Marymount College. I also have TEFL level 5

I am dedicated, hard working, and determined. I also am a very detailed oriented person and have good organization skills. I have an honest forgiving open personality. I am also proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Express.
