I am writing to express my interest in the TEFL English teaching position in South Korea. With a Bachelor's Degree of Arts in Contemporary Art and a passion for cultural exchange, I believe I can contribute to fostering a vibrant learning environment for students.

Throughout my academic career, I have developed strong communication and interpersonal skills, which I believe are essential for effective teaching. My experience in contemporary art has not only equipped me with a unique perspective on creativity but also honed my ability to engage and inspire diverse audiences. Having participated in various art workshops and community projects where educated children around art and its importance was vital, I have cultivated a collaborative spirit and a deep appreciation for different cultures. I am eager to share my knowledge of the English language while also learning from my students and the rich cultural context of South Korea.

I am particularly drawn to this opportunity because of a need to explore a new environment such as South Korea. I have leadership skills as I have managed and supervised teams in the bank branches. I am self-motivated, I honed this skill when I worked as a finance officer and needed to meet deadlines for payments of service providers. I actively listen, this skill was especially honed when I worked at the bank as I had to listen to clients and their needs. I have communication skills; I honed this skill in all the positions I have held as it is important to collaborate with everyone I work with and allows the sharing of information. I am honest and have a strong work ethic, I honed theses skills in all positions I worked in as confidentiality, doing every job to the best of my abilities and keeping my promises was key. I am patient and give great customer service, paying attention to customer needs and solving problems calmly was at the core of my duties as a branch manager and finance officer. I am creative, this skill I honed at the bank when we needed to come up with creative ways to get clients to visit our branches and understand our products.

My most relevant experience would be delivering story and character writing workshops in schools across Greater Manchester as part of a scheme with TV production company Rope Ladder Fiction and TV show Waterloo Road. It was during these sessions that I discovered how much joy and satisfaction I got from working with kids and helping them be their best creative selves.

In terms of my personality, I'd like to think that I have a calming nature, I'm very compassionate and empathetic and always willing to be a listening ear to friends and family. I also know how to have fun and not take myself too seriously. Life's to be enjoyed and that's a core principle that I hold on to.

Skills I'd say I have great communicative skills, am well organised and I think coming from the creative sector, I have the capabilities to be inventive in my approach to teaching.
