Experience:
I am currently working in a UK primary school, teaching year 2 (age 6-7). I am the Art Lead at my current school and organise the art across the school. I have 4 years experience of classroom teaching, ranging from ages 4-8. I have experience working in a pre-school, leading activities and a nursery forest school. Before my PGCE I worked as a teaching assistant in a secondary school, working with children age 11-16.

Personality:
I love teaching young learners and feel passionately about making learning fun! I am a creative person and in my free time I like to paint, draw, sew and practice yoga. I am a caring person and want the best for the children under my care.

childhood education and also in the middle school. I am a qualified teacher and I
ensure that each child receives highly attentive care and guidance to maximize

I am an English major and hold post-graduate degrees in International Relations and Conflict Management. Most of my experience is related to the field of peacebuilding and conflict management, and I have taught peer mediation and conflict resolution skills to learners of different age groups, as well as to adults. I am familiar with different teaching methodologies, lesson planning, teaching English one-to-one, Business English, teaching other subjects in English, and English exam preparation. I have good communication, listening, planning, organising, and managing skills. My current position as a house parent at the FTIFA Football Academy based in Houtbay, Cape Town, underscore my experience working with youth and young adults. My role here includes to ensure students’ safety, supervise, mentor and support their well-being and development. There is a growing interest among South African youth in Asian cultures, as evidenced by the popularity of anime, games, and trends. My own children and their peers are fascinated by Japanese and Korean music, dramas, and languages, reflecting a broader cultural curiosity. This increased interest in South Korea makes me eager to contribute to a mutual exchange of ideas and experiences between our countries. Through teaching in South Korea, I hope to deepen my understanding of Korean culture by engaging directly with students, communities, and educators. This experience will be invaluable as I consider ways to continue fostering South African-Korean relations especially among the youth upon my return home.

I am a highly professional, results-driven TEFL teacher with experience in the development and delivery of language programs to a wide variety of clients encompassing diverse backgrounds, beginners to advanced, from students and migrants to business professionals.

As a teacher and trainer, I have overseen the instruction of over a hundred students and personally trained five instructors. This role demanded the regular creation of learning materials, the teaching of lessons, workshops and intensive courses, the preparation of progress reports and delivery of in-house testing and instructor evaluations.

Additionally, I hold a certification in TEFL/TESOL training, completing over 40 hours of comprehensive coursework training. I am also in the process of working on an additional 120 hours of TEFL/TESOL training in order to really perfect knowledge and skills. I briefly did some Substitute teaching many years ago but thoroughly enjoyed it and am willing to expand on that experience teaching full time. I am fully trainable and willing to learn all things in order to be successful in this role.
