I am a politics and sociology graduate, currently working in a special educational needs school as a learning support assistant. I work with autistic children aged 5-13. My role includes; working 1:1 with students, as well as occasionally teaching whole classes. I feel I am both a passionate and multiskilled educator who has built a broad range of relevant experiences.

After I graduated I travelled to South East Asia, Europe and Central America which has been a big catalyst for my motivation to apply for this position. It has cultivated a love for cross-cultural exchange and educational development so I am excited to seek an opportunity which allows the collaboration of these two personal important opportunities. I am highly motivated to apply for this course in order to embark on a transformative journey that not only challenges my individual limits but helps to develop my own personal and professional growth. I am looking for travel opportunities which will allow me to get to know local people, places and cultures.

My previous experience has helped me develop essential skills such as; creativity, patience, empathy and communication, and I’m now looking for new opportunities to deepen these further. Working with non-speaking children I have adapted to the challenge of communication with language barriers, developing solutions which allow me to break linguistic boundaries through non-verbal and sensory heavy methods. Through my work in schools I have thrived in environments that require quick adaptation and problem solving. I now feel these are strong transferable skills of mine; I actively enjoy being in situations that allow me to apply them and feel it is where I thrive best. Crucially, I feel I work well with people. I have an empathetic and creative nature that helps me to engage and create both relationships and rapport with a diverse range of individuals. I am a creative person who writes and paints every day, i use creativity as the medium i see the world.

When I came across your program I felt excited about the opportunity to contribute to a meaningful organization while simultaneously gaining invaluable experience which can aid my own growth as an educator within an international setting. I am especially excited about teaching the English language, fostering mutual understanding and building profound connections with both students and the new people I meet. I am fully prepared to meet the challenge of both living and working abroad. I will always make a commitment to bring enthusiasm flexibility and a learners mindset to this opportunity.

I am motivated to apply for this teaching opportunity , as I feel it would enable me to further my current experiences in teaching whilst also fulfilling my enjoyment of being an educator, in an exciting environment directly collaborating with my personal passion for both travel and adventure. I feel passionate about exploring cultures different from my own and becoming completely immersed in them in order to foster both personal and professional growth. I feel that TEFL perfectly aligns these two interests and it would allow me to expand on my personal skills for the future.

I have both worked and volunteered in the education sector for the last year. This has allowed me the opportunity to witness firsthand the transformative power of language and its role in bridging gaps as well as nourishing connections with a vast range of people. My experiences have inspired the desire to pursue a career in teaching in order to inspire future generations to access the skills they need to progress. My biggest goal is to make a meaningful impact on students’ lives as I recognize the impact of my own teachers on me.

This opportunity feels like the perfect next step for me, helping to equip me as a future educator with the necessary skills and knowledge to teach English as a foreign language. I aim to enhance my employability, gain a deeper understanding of teaching and gain access to experiences that allow cultural immersion. My hope is this course will provide me with the pedagogical knowledge and practical teaching experience needed to excel in diverse educational settings and give me a wide range of opportunities in the future.

Drawing in to conclusion; I believe my personal background of working in schools, volunteering, alongside an understanding of travelling overseas, coupled with my high motivation to both explore and develop what teaching means to me makes this an ideal next step in my development. I am excited about the prospect of contributing to students' language development and broadening my own horizons through this program. I feel like the most fulfilling next step for me is to develop my understanding of teaching and broaden my skill set.

I bring nearly four years of teaching and tutoring experience across preschool, after-school care, and private English lessons. As a preschool teacher, I have provided high-quality care and education for children aged 6 months to 5 years, fostering social, emotional, and cognitive development through play-based learning. In my role as an after-school programme supervisor, I have led activities for children aged 5–13, supported with homework, and created engaging activities that build teamwork, problem-solving, and confidence.

In addition, I tutor international high school and university students in English, tailoring lessons to different language levels and goals. This experience has strengthened my ability to adapt materials, explain concepts clearly, and support learners in grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and academic writing.

Alongside my teaching, I have worked in retail and hospitality, which has enhanced my communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills. I am adaptable, organised, and empathetic, with strong classroom management and leadership abilities. I enjoy creating supportive, engaging environments where learners feel encouraged to grow, and I consistently bring energy, patience, and professionalism to every role.

While my direct teaching experience is limited, my background in film and
media have shown that I am a known leader, great motivator, and proven
educator. From directing film shoots to training fellow passionate creators in
the industry, I have continued to grow and delve further into the field of
teaching. With my love for media and devotion to creativity, I believe I can
build an engaging, exciting, and enjoyable environment for all involved.

Experience: Four years of volunteer ESL teaching with adult learners, including group classes and one-on-one tutoring, combined with professional experience in customer service and office roles.

Personality: Patient, adaptable, and encouraging; committed to creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel confident and motivated.

Skills: Strong communication, cross-cultural sensitivity, lesson planning, classroom management, and proficiency with digital teaching tools such as Zoom and Google Classroom.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a Master’s degree in Business Analytics, and a Level 5 TEFL Diploma. I bring a combination of international teaching experience, adaptability, and creativity, having supported learners from early childhood through to adults in the UK, Japan, and Ireland. My caring, energetic, and approachable personality helps me build trust with students and create a safe, engaging environment. I enjoy building relationships with the student's parents to further help them with encouragement and language practice outside of the classroom.
I have strong skills in lesson planning, cross-cultural communication, and integrating games, storytelling, and technology into learning. Fluent in English and Russian, conversational in Japanese, and currently learning Korean, I bring empathy for the challenges of language acquisition and support my students with patience and encouragement no matter the age.

I bring hands-on teaching experience as a substitute teacher, where I gained skills in lesson planning, classroom management, and supporting learners of different ages. I am patient, adaptable, and enthusiastic about helping students succeed, with a friendly and reliable personality that builds positive classroom relationships. My strengths include strong communication, organization, and creativity in lesson design, supported by a solid foundation in TESOL and TEFL methodologies.

I used to teach marching band at my local high school and I am very passionate about helping young students find their confidence. My outgoing personality is an asset and my ability to learn quickly has always helped me to succeed in any challenge. I am always punctual and complete assigned tasks on time but if needed can always be flexible in order to accommodate the learning process.

Experience: Limited formal teaching experience (private cooking lessons, workshops with children), supplemented by extensive informal teaching and mentoring in professional kitchens, guiding junior staff and sharing skills. Managed all aspects of running a small food business, including client and team relationships.

Personality: Highly organized, creative, and people-oriented. Friendly, approachable, and enthusiastic about helping others learn and grow.

Skills & Interests: Strong communication and leadership abilities. Able to simplify complex skills for learners, adapt to different audiences, and build positive relationships. Actively engaged in learning about cultures and languages, with ongoing casual study of Korean.
