Thank you for taking the time to review my resume. I am including a brief summary of my qualifications and career intentions for your review. At present, I am living in Seoul and am seeking employment in teaching to further my career, education, and to hold meaningful employment. My target position is with adult business professionals and teaching at a university level, but my certification includes skills training in elementary and secondary school learning. My current positions include instruction of school age children. I would have to complete a visa run.

I hold a recent 150 hour TEFL certificate and am completing my specific purpose certification in Business English. Relatedly, I am enrolled in an online international MBA program located in Tokyo studying general international business. Although not now taking classes, I hope to earn enough to pay tuition and begin teaching at a university level later.

I am a native English speaker from the northeastern United States with a neutral accent. My undergraduate degree is in Psychology and is from Rutgers. My specialized linguistic experience is in business and I also have experience in some medical terminology.

As a current graduate student at Yonsei University in Seoul, I have come to experience the educational sphere in Korea first-hand and am truly excited at the prospect of becoming an English language educator in Korea. While living in Seoul, I have had the experience of conducting private tutoring lessons to students of all ages, in both one on one and group environments. During my time in the United States, I have taken numerous courses regarding the ins and outs of teach English as a foreign language, including courses on grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and classroom management strategies. I am eager to continue learning about Korean history, language and culture by actively exploring all that Korea has to offer, and at the same time exchange my own experiences in America and share my own culture with my prospective Korean students. With my experiences and knowledge of working in multicultural academic environments, I am dedicated to becoming an effective, efficient, and energetic educator to students of all ages learning English as a second language.

Previous experience teaching while studying abroad in Thailand. Self-starter, highly motivated, professional.

I believe my strengths lie in my charismatic and enthusiastic nature. I am able to be commanding with authority, yet always remain personable and friendly- a trait that was particularly prevalent during my time working in team management. My degree and educational background have ensured that I am academically driven, with a particular focus on creativity. Having been involved in the world of architecture (Bachelor's Degree and Career) demonstrates that I understand the meaning of process, perseverance and trial and error, which are all things that I believe would be extremely beneficial when teaching English. I also have experience in one on one and group tutoring and reviewing at the University of Nottingham, which has given me skills to expand upon within the teaching realm.

I'm a responsible professional who knows when to be serious and knows when to be laid back to make sure the students don't feel intimidated or afraid to participate. Although I don't have any teaching experience, I do sometimes babysit a friend's child so I have a feel for what dealing with kids is like.

I am a recent TEFL graduate and degree holder looking to start my career; hopefully the C.V I have attached shows both the professional skills I have acquired, and my deep, underlying fascination with reading, writing and all things Language!

My three biggest skills are:

1) A constant desire for new challenges and personal growth and curious mind that is always seeking for new and novel ways to expand itself
2) I am deeply empathetic and understanding of others needs and able to stay calm under any type of pressure.
3) I have working in public facing roles for many years, so my communication skills are excellent and I know how to express myself clearly while remaining courteous .
