Through work and university I have gained many skills which I can transfer over to this role.

First, after years of working within a call-centre environment and working within university groups of many different cultures, I have gained extensive communication skills in discussing ideas, taking on feedback and active listening. I have been able to apply these across different situations, from speaking with customers, lecturers, friends as well as being able to adapt and discuss with fellow students who do not speak english as their native language. Through this time, I have also been able to build up competent teamwork, by engaging with my colleagues on best practice situations and communicating with to resolve problems.

I am sociable, enthusiastic and driven to help others. I am a competent worker but also easy to get along with, and enjoy getting to know colleagues and people I spend a lot of time with well. I believe these skills and experiences can transfer over to this role in being a competent English language teacher.

My name is Nkosingiphile Malulu Magwaza, 28 years of age. I am from South Africa, in a rural area called Maphumulo at Kwa-Zulu Natal. I was raised by my grandmother who is a widow and wife to my late grandfather Reverend M. Magwaza. I am a Christian and was raised with Christian principles was taught to show love, kindness and respect for other people. I have 3 nephews whom I love deeply. I have a very special and good bond with them. I sometimes help them with their home works and also play with them indoor games. I love kids and I enjoy spending time with them. I do not have any teaching experience.This has instilled in me passion for teaching and helping others. I have worked as an interpreter at Melmoth Magistrate Court here is South Africa for 6 months in 2016. My work experience prepared me for this because it improved my communication skills, attention to details and also time management. I am currently working as a Learner Support Agent at Balcombs Hill Primary School, this job has positively encouraged and motivated me to become a teacher, because I am working closely with children rendering professional and effective service to support school and also render care, support and protection of vulnerable children. . I want children to learn in a safe and comfortable environment so that their self-esteem will be increased. A high self-esteem will enable them to strive and accomplish any goals they set for themselves. As a teacher I will play a part in helping them to do that, I will have privilege of shaping future parents and productive members of society.

I currently work as an English as a Second Language instructor for Preply, an online tutoring site for people of all ages looking to improve their language skills. I have 4 students that I teach individually. I have created individualized curriculums for each student based on their goals and language abilities. My teaching career began at a young age as a pre-school dance teacher where I worked at many different studios as I completed high-school and college. After graduating college, I was employed as an art teacher at The Boys & Girls Club of America, an after school program designed to supplement education where the public school system cannot provide programs. While there, I learned classroom management skills and the importance of forming connections with your students.
In 2015, I moved to New York and became the Program Manager for a teen program at Rennert International, a language school that makes up part of Wall Street Languages. In this position, I worked with over 150 teenagers all from different countries. These students’ main goal in participating in the program was to improve their english and prepare for college. I assisted them in all aspects of this goal; living in the dorms with them, ensuring all school work was completed, and booking tickets to cultural events. I learned an insurmountable amount in working with students from different countries and would love to continue working in an environment that allows me to teach english and share my love of languages.
Having lived abroad in France, I can easily adapt to new environments. I enjoy immersing myself fully in the language, traditions, and lifestyles of new cultures. In my free time I love cooking, taking yoga classes, and exploring new places. After living in New York for 5 years and working with people of all ages in different teaching capacities, I am ready for a new challenge and would love to speak more about a position.

My name is Eliza House and I hold a 120-hour TEFL certification as well as a 40-hour Online Teaching certification.
I hold a BA Degree in Education Studies which allowed me to experience a number of placements within English mainstream primary schools. During these placements, I acted as the whole class teacher and teaching assistant for a range of different year groups, and I am confident working alongside fellow teachers to develop children's abilities.
My TEFL course also allowed me to gain experience planning lessons for a range of different learners and situations. I am comfortable planning lessons for a range of abilities and ages and enjoy working alongside children to develop their English communication skills.
I am a creative person with interests in music, playing the flute and piano, and special effects makeup. Through my current job role at IKEA and previous roles I have developed various skills such as time keeping, organisation, my ability to work well alone and also as part of a team.
I am excited to have the opportunity to help students from a different country speak my native language and further their opportunities whilst experiencing a new culture.
