I have experience with ages 6 months to 12 years of age, primarily within the range of 18 months to 5 years of age. I have worked in both a daycare setting and a TEFL classroom as an assistant, working with groups of 5-25. I have co-managed and independently managed a classroom. I love to have an energetic and active classroom that features as much engagement from the students as possible while still creating a constructive learning environment. I am very flexible when it comes to the different needs and learning strategies that vary between every classroom and student. I feel comfortable with many aspects of teaching technology such as smartboards, projectors, and of course whiteboards. I like to think of myself as silly with structure. I believe that learning can be fun while still teaching. I also believe that part of teaching students at a young age goes beyond just teaching the subject matter, but includes teaching them basic life skills that they can develop early and use their whole life.

My strengths when it comes to my career I could describe for myself is that I'm enthusiastic, energetic and patient. I enjoy teaching kids and I can easily bond with young learners, I take time to get to know the kids and young learners, I understand learning a new language is difficult. I've been an ESL teacher for more than a year for Chinese & French kids aging 4 years old to 15 years old and I've also been teaching Chinese & Japanese adults Business English as well. For kids I focus on their pronunciation, grammar and reading skills, I know most kids have short attention span so I do make sure every lesson is fun and full of learning. While the adults, I focus on their conversation skills, teaching them idioms & expressions and assisting them in their work presentations & tasks as well.

I'm a graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration Majoring Entrepreneurial Management. I've been in Sales & Marketing for more than 5 years. As for being a ESL Teacher, I've been teaching for more than a year holding one on one and even group classes online. I hold a TEFL Degree for a 120hr course from TEFL Org UK.

I have spent a large deal of my working life in customer service and so I am at my best in people focused positions. At the current student residence I am managing I have made sure to know all of the 170 students by name and build a report with them. I truly believe that everything comes down to your relationship with individuals and so in a teaching scenario I hold my students experience as paramount to my role.
I have spent many years as a creative whether that is in music or photography and thusly I am well aware of what it takes to create an engaging and fun environment for new learners and students.
I am ready to get started in a career that I am driven by, that can not only provide me with a challenge but a rewarding experience for myself and those around me.

I am currently completing a 140 TEFL course, both in person and online.

I have worked for an additional needs charity, ages 4 to 19, by helping the children become more involved in mainstream activities. I helped teach a 4 year-old boy with autism how to swim and I arranged online activities for our children and teenagers during the pandemic.

I look forward to teaching English abroad and I feel like I will bring a lot of energy and fun into my lessons. I will make sure that I get students off their feet and excited to learn about English!

Having had promotion/marketing experience, I’ve had to interact with plenty of customers and fellow colleagues, so I have good communication skills, excellent people skills as well. I am super friendly and therefore very easy to get along with. I am naturally a bubbly person and I love making conversation with people.

The closest I’ve gotten to working with students was when I held the position of a senior monitor and prefect (in high school). My role in this position was mainly to supervise the students and keep them occupied when there was no teacher present. I thoroughly enjoyed this as I got along very well with the students and now I hope to do this on a more larger, professional scale.

Not only do I want to help others grow and enjoy the English language , but I believe that I have a lot of learning and growing to do as well . What better way to do it than to incorporate a new culture and environment !

Over the past 10 years of work and education combined, I have
subconsciously worked alongside one principle, work smarter. I am a
person who looks for the most efficient way of doing a procedure,
streamline them and consistently strive to boost productivity. That's
what has allowed me to achieve my Bachelors Degree in Civil
Engineering, and of course, my TEFL 120 hour certification, amongst
many other qualifications.
I am an aspiring teacher, one who can really make a difference to a small
or large team. With my vast experience in working in different positions, I
have shown the ability to adapt to any job role, and elevate the people
around me. This is why I decided to undertake a TEFL course and now
pursue a new challenge, one that will put my years of presenting; to a
lecture room to other students, to project managers and clients as an
Engineer, to new colleagues when training them on the job role as a covid
specialist. I have proven to show I have the commitment and desire to
transfer my skills to the classroom and share experiences as well as
teach.
Having also travelled to different countries, my fondness in learning new
cultures and bringing a skillset in English, gives me the passion to teach in
your school and be in a team of experienced, energetic and ambitious
people.
