I have a bachelors degree in Accounting and I am also a TEFL certified online teacher with less than six months of experience developing lesson plans and curriculum for students around the ages of 8years to 10. I am very passionate about teaching and because of this I have also tutored students preparing them for their exams and helping them with homework.
My specialization lies within understanding each student, their learning capabilities, their style of understanding and how best to increase their love of the English language. Classroom management, personalized learning programs, and innovative educational techniques are just a few of my areas of expertise. I am have a very bubbly personality and I am able to relate to different people from different backgrounds. I am very patient and supportive of my students, this helps build their self-esteem and confidence. I am well prepared to dedicate myself to the highest standards teaching English in South Korea.

Experience
I have a Bachelor's in Environmental Science and a Master's in Public Policy. I have honed in my written and verbal English skills throughout my academic career, resulting in completing two degrees of study. The latter relying on a high level of written English to excel in.
I have previously taught English in Tanzania, Africa, over a 3 month period. The key focus of the sessions was to build functional use of English for job skills and to improve employability.
I have also completed the 120-hour Premier Online TEFL Course.
I have previously tutored GCSE students whilst studying my Alevels in Maths, Science and English.
My professional experience have enabled me to widen my range of English skills both written and verbal across multiple platforms, domains and for varying purposes. I have an excellent grasp of English and have the personality to teach competently and effectively.

Since I can remember, I have been teaching my mother and family members English as it is not their first language, which continued to others I have met during my lifetime. People find it comfortable asking me to help them with their pronunciation and teaching them the meanings of words when they ask. They appreciated me being patient and understanding, and no judgement passed on them. I volunteered to teach art at the BIY Summer School programme for young people aged 10-25 who came from disadvantaged areas in London. The core group I taught were aged 12 -16. The students enjoyed the sessions, and they came up with very creative and fun artwork even though at the beginning they were sceptical. Some were even afraid to draw because they thought they were not good enough to make art. But watching them gain confidence and seeing them grow week by week was priceless. I enjoyed working with the kids on this programme. I learnt a lot about myself during this experience. I carried out a plan from start to finish and executed it. I learned how to time-manage and command a classroom with the addition of being patient, empathetic and my fondness for young children would make me a perfect candidate as an EFL teacher. The skills I picked up can easily be transferred to teaching English, and I can also bring creativity, fun and positivity to the class.

I currently hold a Masters Degree and received a 168-hour Level 5 TEFL Certificate from the TEFL Academy (with 20-hour classroom teaching practice) in 2020. I have three years teaching experience and currently working as an online ESL Teacher.

In my private time I enjoy tutoring children in my neighbourhood. In 2019, I worked for an international airline, where I’ve gained extensive international travel experience and worked with people from all cultures and continents. I can therefore easily adapt to new environments.

I have a vibrant personality and describe myself as a hard-working, professional and responsible individual. I love teaching and have the patience and skills to teach English as a second language. In my free time I enjoy the outdoors, travelling and meeting new people.

I am a hard worker, and I never give up on any task that I'm assigned. I am also someone who is open to continuous feedback with respect to my work, as I value it as a process of growing as an individual. I am an extremely good listener and team player, I am willing to work with anyone and accomplish any team tasks. I was a Grade R educator in 2020, and I worked with learners between the ages of 5 to 6. I loved working with my young learners, and many of them had additional language barriers at the time.

I am also an individual who likes to learn, this year I had taken a degree honours course in Inclusive Education and in 2019 a business principles and practices course. I believe in furthering my skills and interests in every field that can assist my skill set in the classroom environment or personal life.

My passion has always been about helping others, and I can not think of a better way than to help young or old learners achieve their dreams through education.
