Teaching is a big part of who I am, and I can’t see myself doing anything else than teaching. I have been a full time teacher for 4 full year and I loved every minute of it. My specialized subjects when I studied were, Human movement (PE, Life Skills) and Geography. Since teaching, the subjects I taught the most were, PE, Geography, Mathematics, English, Natural Sciences, Technology and History, which I have a great interest in. I particularly enjoy teaching History as there are many sources you can use namely, videos, pictures, old passages and storytelling. I aim to become a teacher and over time work myself to a more senior level in the education system.

In my senior year of high school I did internships for teaching for a year and a half. I went on to get a bachelor's degree, and now also have a 120 Tefl/Tesol certificate. Some of my personality traits and skills are adaptable, quick learner, reliable, enthusiastic, passionate, and empathetic.

I would describe myself as a very energetic and friendly individual with a creative flair. I have a passion for exploring new places and experiencing different cultures and lifestyles. In my free time I love to paint and visit exhibitions and galleries.

In terms of teaching, I have demonstrated solid teaching skills in past tutoring positions, in Madrid, resulting in the ability to accurately assess student potential, adapt lessons in order to achieve the desired level of knowledge and skill within a defined parameter, and maintain effective student record systems through assessing performance with a focus on enhancing the overall learning process.

Moreover, having taught English at various levels to students from a variety of schools, I am able to work effectively with all types of curriculum making me both patient and flexible. Above all, I truly think that my excellent communication skills and the ability to work well independently gained from experience will become invaluable assets to any school.

So much so I have two years work experience in teaching for a non profit organisation as a volunteer teacher, in those years I genuinely fell in love with teaching.

I enjoy teaching multiple subjects and was excited when friends told me of the great opportunities to work in South Korea.

I love to travel and learn new things as well as to work hard. I don't mind picking up extra classes as long as I have the time and the generosity of willing to do more work doesn't get taken advantage of. An example would be if I take 3 extra classes then I would be less likely to take on a fourth, fifth, or sixth class.

I am a confident and adventurous person, eager for new challenges. I have a range of professional experience and I feel comfortable joining new, diverse groups of people, public speaking, and coaching.
I have a 120-hr TEFL Certification. I have some voluntary experience assisting in classrooms in South Africa and Ecuador. I have no TEFL classroom experience yet, as I only completed my certification this year and have been in application limbo for another Visa for most of 2021 (delayed and no on-hold due to Covid restrictions). However, I am committed to this career change and I am eager to start my first teaching post.
