I am a hardworking, reliable and responsible qualified teacher who enjoy working with children. On various occasions from 2020-2021, I worked as a substitute teacher at a local primary school from as little as just 1 day to two whole weeks of substituting.
Through this experience I learned how to interact with various learners as well as how to implement inclusive education for learners who need it. I taught in both English Home Language as well as Afrikaans Home Language classes, and therefore have experience in teaching all subjects of a grade in English, along with teaching English as a second language to the Afrikaans classes.
My skills include Microsoft Office, effective classroom management as well as time management and being adaptable to different situations that may arise in the classroom or school environment.

I am a passionate, enigmatic individual with a patient demeanour and a confident, friendly attitude. I love taking on a challenge and using my creativity and problem-solving skills to find a solution. Overall, I am a people person that aims to make other happy, I will go out of my way to make sure that people are happy and that they understand a situation entirely. I am passionate about bringing the language of English to people and being a part of peoples' personal and educational developments. In regards to experience, I have a years experience of tutoring in English and other core subjects, due to tutoring my younger sister, who is 9 years old. I use the techniques that I have learned from my Level 5 TEFL Qualification to assist me in my tutoring, as my qualification gives me the skills necessary to educate to a high standard.

When I was in school, I was also a peer mentor for a younger student for half of a year; we would meet weekly so that I could tutor him in any piece of work that he found difficult. I have, for multiple years, also worked with my mum, by assisting her in running her childminding business. I create stimulating and fun educational activities for the children (ages 2-4) which promote and supplement their educational growth.

I am a qualified social worker with extensive experience with working with kids. I have vast knowledge and understanding of children, I have psychological experience working with children that I believe will be a great asset for any school.

I have experience teaching creative arts to children aged 10-15 from my time as Assistant Creative Arts Director in 2018. I am currently in Thailand teaching English as a foreign language in Phayakkaphum Phisai, Maha Sarakham, Isaan/Esan. I have been teaching in Thailand since the 22nd of November 2021, my contract ends on the 4th of March. I love teaching, learning about a foreign culture and embracing the that culture. I am creative, outgoing, intelligent, I love travelling and I can work very well in a team. I tend to get involved in extra-curricular activities and I find it easy to build good relationships with students and colleagues. I am incredibly friendly, approachable, professional and emotionally intelligent. My experience at summer camp and in Thailand has taught me how to teach creatively, even with minimal materials. I have also developed excellent organisation, time-management skills and communication skills.

A professional teacher of English, confident and passionate hard worker. That’s what I was told by the Special Educational Needs Department. I am a motivated and qualified individual with six years experience working with children and young adults in an educational setting. Four years ago I decided that I would get a degree and become a teacher of English as a Second Language. Last year I achieved that goal. I promised myself that I would gain every qualification needed to become the best possible teacher and I have a TEFL to prove my dedication.
Now I am prepared to take on a brand new adventure but this time regarding my professional career.

During the summers of 2018, 2019 and 2021 I worked as a Foreign Language English Teacher at a summer camp in Brasov, Romania. Whilst working here I had a variety of responsibilities, including organising and carrying out English lessons for a classes of children whose ages ranged from 8-18 years old as well as running other activities for the children such as sports, crafts and other creative workshops. The experience I had during this role helped developed my personality and made me even more outgoing and confident. During my time in Romania I was able to prove my adaptability to different and foreign working conditions as well as developing other skills such as communication, problem solving and leadership. The skills I obtained and developed as a teacher in Romania, I believe, would make me an ideal candidate for an English teaching position in Korea.

I also have 3 years of customer service experience during my time at university in London. I worked as a sales assistant at a luxury shoe shop in a busy London shopping centre which allowed me develop my communication and teamwork skills in this professional environment. I have also worked as a member of bar staff at a very busy London stadium meaning that I adapted quickly to working in such a high stress and fast paced environment. The skills I gained whilst working in customer service have allowed me to prove that I can thrive in a range of different environments whilst also developing my problem solving skills and initiative.

As a person I am friendly and approachable but also very outgoing, I am someone who always wants an adventure and a challenge to try new things. I hope that in Korea I can continue to implement my skills that I already have to make a positive difference to the children I would be teaching.

I found my passion for teaching English last year when I studied abroad in Paris, France. While I was in France, I lived with a French family that had kids and I helped them with their English. I have no professional teaching experience. When I was in high school, I spent one year as a teacher's assistant for kindergarten and another year as an assistant for 5th grade. I also worked at a resort over the summer where I led activities with children of all ages. I am a hard working, organized, and independent individual. I have great time management skills and I pay attention to details. I love immersing myself into new cultures, I adapt well and I really enjoy learning everything that I can.
