I am a young lady looking for an opportunity to impress with my great work ethic, and I want to help people, and help students to learn. Although I have no formal teaching experience, I do have experience working with children as I worked in a nursery as part of my health and social diploma. I also was a dance instructor during high school and I am now currently part of the training team at my current job. I am a fun, polite individual who wants to teach and also learn from my students too. I can be very serious when it is needed. Even though I lack formal teaching I think with my experience and capability to pick up things quickly I am confident I can make a great teacher.

I am currently working at a secondary school (ages 11-16) in the United Kingdom primarily as a Learning Support Assistant. I also teach a couple of students EAL in one-to-one lessons and have covered some small groups in this subject. From these, I have experience planning my own lessons.
From working with lots of students in different situations, I have quickly adapted to learning how each individual students learns best. I believe this is a good skill to have in order to help students get the most out of their education.

I am open minded and happy to be placed any location, being adaptable in nature – I love immersing myself in new culture and meeting people. Being confident in versatile social and professional environments, I enjoy new learning experiences.

My approach to teaching is routed in my drama and theatre background, with a Masters in Playwriting – I have delivered drama workshops in a multitude of settings, including: schools, universities, community centres, and with young people who's first language is not English. I believe drama is a brilliant way to engage learners, and an essential communicative tool.
My teaching style is person centred: I believe that creating a structured, compassionate, and inspiring teaching space, any learner can find their potential to excel. I am comfortable creating visually stimulating classes but know the importance of teaching the core principles of the lesson. I have experience creating lesson plans for large scale classes, with numbers exceeding 70, and one to one. I have taught classes in the UK, Nepal, and Uganda. With a Masters of Letters from University of Glasgow, I have taught classes in schools, colleges, universities, and community settings. I have experience teaching english to people who have recently arrived in the UK, and have worked with Scottish Refugee Council to teach English.

Teaching is thrilling. I enjoy helping learners to make their own discoveries. I am passionate that education is a pathway to empowerment, and I love that I can play a part in transforming someone’s life for the better. I am also fascinated by languages and gain a huge amount of knowledge just by teaching others. I certainly thrive from teaching young people because I find their imaginations to be unlimited.

In my free time, I love trying new food, cooking, and meeting new people where I might learn something new. I am a huge fan of the outdoors, as a runner, cyclist, and climber. I really love exploring new countries.

I have over 3 years teaching experiences. I started my teaching journey in 2019 working for SMARTPREP which is a private tutoring company . On the other hand, my online ESL teaching began in 2021. Both of these teaching have taught me good communication skills, adaptability, patience and a good listener. I have such a bubbly personality which makes me to be approachable, and it's to build a rapport with my students. Also, makes students to engage with me freely which is an important part of learning. My skills includes good communications and listening skills. Moreover, I am a patient and confident person.

I am a people person who loves the idea of experiencing somthing new, someone ready to take on challenges and conquer them. I am good at team working through past jobs as well as single work and leading. I have had to work under pressure and consider time limits when at work. I have a clear voice and a joy to learn.
