During my time in the Planning Committee of FOCUS, a program for first-generation college students I became well adjusted and acquired many skills that were essential to the role. My interpersonal and organizational skills excelled as I was able to effectively communicate with various administrations and companies to allow for a smooth operation of a scholarly event. Furthermore, being a mentor helped my fundamentals and shaped my career path which strengthened my networking and critical thinking skills. By teaching the first-generation students and being a positive role model in their lives I began to grow as an individual. I also acquired a keen sense to detail and time management while working my part time job as a personal shopper as I was in charge of many customer orders as well as training and teaching new hires the duties of the job. As well as my time at these places, I volunteered at a youth care center, this allowed me to engage in various activities with K-12 students further expanding my skillset.

I am a motivated worker who always brings her best. I work well as part of a team, and also flourish when working alone. I enjoy meeting new people, having new experiences and travelling. I am a positive person who likes to put a smile on peoples faces and make others laugh. I am also good with time, and enjoy planning out my free time and using a diary to keep track of any events in my life.

I am tech savvy, which I believe is an extremely useful skill. I am a good listener, I enjoy letting other talk and listening to their problems – a main reason why I chose to study Psychology at University. I would consider myself to have good communication skills, and good with self-management.

I volunteered in a primary school a few years ago, helping teach literacy and take care of the kids (aged 5-8). I also have a younger sister who I have helped study during her GCSE's and now A-levels. I am easily adaptable and learn quickly.

I am a 27 year old English native with a university degree in English Literature and Creative Writing. I have completed a 80-hour TEFL Teaching Course and have four years of teaching experience in Spain, teaching all levels and ages, especially B2, C1 and C2 Cambridge exam preparation. Moreover, I am a certified Cambridge speaking examiner for levels B2 and C1.
My personality is confident, out-going and friendly and I thrive on meeting new people and I have experience working with people from all walks of life. I have a fantastic rapport with all of my students as I always try to be enthusiastic, positive and engaging in class. As well as centring my classes around the core curriculum, I always make sure to provide my own touch of dynamism and creativity to the classes.

I currently work in one of the most competitive industries in the UK, the Financial Services Industry. This experience has shaped my knowledge and skills hugely. For example, I manage large projects to bring new business opportunities, which require high levels of dedication, hard work and creativity. I believe that these skills are transferable to a teaching position as I will be looking after various students and it is my responsibility to ensure they are progressing educationally. Therefore, I would need to put a specific set of skills together to make this happen, such as the skills mentioned previously.

Furthermore, I can adapt well when faced with change. This is because I see this from a positive point of view in that change can present a new learning opportunity. I take the same outlook when faced with issues and in fact, I tend to keep my cool as this will keep me focused to find a solution. Overall, I can manage different situations with confidence, and I am aware that being a teacher can bring various situations on a day-to-day basis.

I grew up bilingual, speaking both English and French, and have always loved languages, as I believe they are a way to open yourself to a new culture and experiences.
Having studied abroad, I have experienced English lessons as a native speaker, and had an outside understanding of how ESL classes are conducted.
I studied English language, litterature and civilisation at University and then went on to complete a TEFL certification with TEFL.org. Although I have not taught English to students (outside of the TEFL course) yet, I have experience with working with children as a dance teacher.
I am a friendly and compassionate person, and although I can seem quiet when I first meet new people, I adapt very quickly to new situations.
