I am an enthusiastic and fun individual who loves working with people. I have one year of experience of teaching English as a foreign language to children aged 4 to 7. I loved creating entertaining but informative lessons to ensure my students developed excellent English literacy and communication skills while also enjoying my lessons.

I have recently graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a BSc with Honours in Reproductive Biology. I am also currently completing a 120 hour virtual TEFL course which I will finish by the end of July.

I have the skills and training to fill the position of a native English teacher.
I am an expert in teaching children since I have tutored young children in bible studies, ran workshops in peace education for older children and in my current field I communicate with foreign suppliers. I have the experience needed to assist and motivate students, prepare work schedules and I am creative which helps to keep the students engaged.
I have the ability to adhere to the curriculum of your school. I can put together class discussions where students can ask questions and voice opinions. I also have the ability to observe the progress of the students and maintain excellent student records.
I am computer literate with a complete understand of the various Web based programs. I have the flexibility to provide extra help for students that are having problems. I also have excellent time management skills that make it possible to handle all of the responsibilities this position requires.

A strength I have been able to identify as a developing teacher is the ability to put myself in the shoes of the students. As someone who learned English for the very first time at the age of 11 and as someone who is currently learning Korean, I would say I have an idea about some things language learners struggle with. As a learner, I know that oftentimes I tend to memorize the structure of a particular grammar to help me understand, but sometimes when the same grammar is being used in a different context, it can confound me. At Literacy Pittsburgh, I have suggested ideas that uses new vocabulary terms in various context so students can truly grasp the meaning.

Another strength I have is classroom management. Teaching a class of 15-20 students can get rowdy especially when every student is passionate and eager to participate. At Literacy Pittsburgh, I co-teach with the main teacher and when it is my turn, she often helps in classroom management. However, recently, I had to teach the entire classroom independently without the main teacher present. Having observed how the main teacher handles disruption, I was able to put those skills into practice and have a successful two hour lesson on my own.

I'm very resourceful, hard-working, creative and a patient. I have 2 and half years working experience with teaching young Korean students from Kindergarten to Middle school. My work experience has taught me a lot about the profession, and to my delight I have loved every bit of it. I believe I am competent enough to manage and teach young children and possess the patience and enthusiasm for the job.

I am a dedicated teacher who wants the best for my students. I have worked with children from the age of infants to high school freshmen. My last full-time position was as a high school English 1 teacher. I have completed my intern year and am a licensed teacher in Texas. Also, I recently received my level 5 TEFL certificate from the TEFL academy.

I would describe my personality as hard-working, committed and professional. I strive to be the best version of myself daily. In my free-time I enjoy traveling, watching movies, and hanging out with friends and family.

I have good organisational ability and can adapt to living in foreign countries quickly and efficiently as I have been moving around since early childhood.
