I have teaching experience as a registered online tutor for over a year and have dealt with different students and have had to be creative in assisting my students to learn effectively. Through this experience, I have seen just how impactful and helpful my sessions with the students have been, and this has been a driving force in my tutoring career. I am now looking to expand my professional teaching career.

I have a real desire to improve the lives of others by teaching English. I look forward to creating exciting and engaging lessons to motivate my students and help them to learn effectively. I am highly motivated, passionate, enthusiastic, confident, and optimistic. My strongest points are my patience, kindness, and willingness to help others. These are the characteristics I would encourage in my classroom and therefore would make me an asset to your school and the best person for the job.

Written and verbal communication, organization, listening skills, confidence, motivation, management, people skills, problem-solving abilities, and Computer proficiency are the skills I possess.

I am in the process of completing my TEFL course which I'm really enjoying. I completed the 2-day classroom session and got some great feedback from the tutor. During the classroom session I demonstrated excellent eliciting skills and provided students with clear spoken and written models of the target language. When asked to apply the key techniques for teaching English as a foreign language I used visual aids effectively to teach new vocabulary, modelled and drilled pronunciation and made good use of checking questions. I was able to use a variety of interactive and kinaesthetic practice activities for students to participate in, and high student talking time was encouraged during pair work activities. The tutor gave feedback that I demonstrated the necessary skills to be a successful and effective English language teacher.
As I am new to teaching English, I have little experience. However, through my current employment as a Health Care Trainer I have ample experience in delivering group interventions, where I support people who are living with chronic pain. I can confidently manage group interactions, provide information in a clear and concise manner and engage the group well, promoting interaction and learning. I have lots of patience and understand that people learn at different speeds and in different ways. I feel that the skills I have from my current role are transferable to teaching English in a classroom setting and on a 1:1 basis.
In terms of personal qualities my main strengths are communication, honesty and self-motivation. I would describe myself as a caring, compassionate and open-minded individual, with a positive and optimistic attitude. Other people have described me as friendly and approachable and a good listener, and I believe it is these qualities that allow me to develop trusting and supportive relationships with others.
I look forward to taking on new challenges and feel that this would be a great opportunity to use my newly learnt skills in a highly rewarding environment. My passion for helping people and my experience of working with young people between the ages of 5 and 18 is the reason I am applying. In addition to to this, I am passionate about english language, reading and would love to experience a new culture whilst educating young people about the english language, and perhaps some supplementary work around mental health/wellbeing. My skills are largely based around my ability to form relationships with a diverse range of people. I am a passionate and dedicated ESL teacher who is focused on providing an innovative, fun, and inspiring classroom. I have a track record of encouraging students to master English while also nurturing their love of the language. I'm also committed to finding new methods to get better results and improve my learner's progress. I have over 3 years of experience working with students from elementary through college and understand the unique needs of students and how important it is to create an environment that is both nurturing and challenging for them.

In my previous role as an ESL Teacher, I worked with elementary, middle school and high school students who were at different levels of English proficiency. I have created lesson plans and found better new methods to help these students improve their language development and also on their cultural development. I have often worked one-to-one with these students to create a program that is both personalized and fun.

I have a great deal of experience teaching students of all levels, teaching both ESL and English Literature (IB level). I have over three years of teaching experience; I have assisted thousands of students over this time, preparing them for exams, holidays, new jobs, or just increased interaction with English speakers.

I am a friendly, outgoing, and patient teacher who has plenty to offer any ESL company. Having spent the past few years teaching online, I feel it is now finally the time to transfer my skills to the classroom.
