Teaching has been something I have gained most of my experience in, helped by my parents being teachers themselves. My main experience has been recently, where I have been teaching english in Thailand, cementing my want to teach and helped me gain confidence in my ability to teach english in another country adapting to a new setting and culture. This was supported by my experience in PGL where I taught children about outdoor activities and instructed them in trapese and jacobs ladder, this gave me the understanding how to make things safe while also making the activities fun for a range of ages from 7-16. Furthermore, these experiences guided me to be someone who can quickly pick up new skills and gave me the initiative to research new methods of engagement in teaching as well as me having fun teaching people how to face their fears, or looking after them as a Group leader. Overall, my experiences have allowed me to open to advice and feedback as I rather learn how to do something better, then stick to something which may work but isn't allowing the students to reach their full potential.

I focus more on each kids needs and learning abilities and try to accomodate each child which sometimes ends up with me spending more time on certain chapter than i should.That is a strength and a weakness because ,my students get to undertand more but sometimes we fall behind with what is expected according to the time frames give.

My name is Erin and I am an enthusiastic teacher wanting to broaden my experience and skills in the teaching world. In the past I have been a tutor, English homeschool teacher and coach which have allowed me to build a good set of skills to prepare me for a position in this field. In life and as a teacher I am patient and organized. I believe in catering to my students and in the importance of adapting to individual needs. I am a good leader, have excellent time management skills and am a good active listener. As well, I am am empathetic, caring and understanding person which I believe can be equally as important as a teacher then in classroom skills. Through these personality traits, experiences and skills I believe I am well suited for a role as an ESL teacher in South Korea and believe I could be very successful if placed in this position.

Grew up and educated in the United States, but has lived in several other countries including China, Japan, and South Korea. Worked as an English teacher for Global Leaders Christian School in Ilsan and as an Assistant Language teacher in Japan. Experienced with teaching students from elementary to high school, tutoring one on one, working with a variety of class sizes, substitute teaching, and organizing English events such as speech contests and English camps.

In Highschool I worked abroad with GLA and taught English in Tanzania for 3 months.

I went to College and obtained my Bachelors in English from Lewis and Clark College. During my studies, I worked as a TA (Teaching Assistant) for a professional project management course.

I have 3.5 years of work experience as an IT tech/Classroom assistant for a Law school. I am well-versed in classroom technologies, including skype, audio, zoom, PowerPoint, tablets, Wacom, and other technological tools.

I am outgoing, positive, cheerful, and an excellent communicator.

In this position, I am looking to grow my classroom management skillset and improve my curriculum in order to ensure the success of my students and to help others abroad.
