I currently work as a student aide where I help to teach English language arts, history, math, science, and computer science. Primarily, I work with children who possess learning disabilities who require an immense amount of close attention and care. I love working in this position because it allows me to try a variety of teaching techniques. I believe that I am a creative teacher who enjoys kinetic learning while also being open to adapting to unfamiliar techniques, if I believe it will serve a purpose. I have logged hundreds of hours as an aide and a tutor and also serve in extracurricular sports as a coach. I am not a shy or reserved person and enjoy being around people and learning about their life experiences. Most of all, I love teaching to someone who has little to no grasp on a topic. There is nothing more exciting than seeing a student struggle with a concept and then eventually become a master of it.
