I am extremely flexible and adaptable, can work under a stressful environment and believe in ideas being able to shape the world.

I have always wanted to become a Teacher because I enjoy assisting others grow. Teaching English will give me that opportunity to transfer my knowledge of English to others, allowing them to expand their linguistic knowledge. I find great joy in seeing the development in one's education, and I believe I would bring passion and enjoyment to my classroom. I believe having a strong language skill is an asset that will promote a lifetime of effective communication. I feel as though English is so universal and one of those languages that many cultures learn. I think it is important to learn other languages and alternative forms of communication besides our own, because it helps us to learn about other cultures. I have had a great appreciation for Korean culture since I was about fourteen years old. My father is in the military and was stationed in Korea when I was young. He told me amazing stories of the country and it sparked a love for the culture. I have taken it upon myself to try to learn Korean/Hangul when I have free time, and being immersed in the language and culture will be very influential. I also know that parent's involvements in their children's education is very important in Korea, this is something I respect and find refreshing. Working in Korea would be a life changing experience. I have lived in America my whole life and I believe it is important to experience different cultures, especially those we have an interest in, so we may better understand the culture, the people, and the country.

My goal is to educate my students so they can confidently submerge themselves in an environment and speak English without feeling timid or incorrect. This will open up opportunities for them, assist them in meeting more people, creating more friendships, and overall stimulating their growth in the future. My teaching method is creative and hands-on. I believe independent work is important, however, I have always noticed other's work well with others. I believe the teacher should be involved and engaged in what their students are doing, and not sit on the sidelines "hoping" they learn. I also believe creativity is important in education. This was absent when I was growing up in school, and I noticed when something was "fun" I finished my work more successfully and quickly. Art and creativity can improve academic performance, promote decision making, enhance the idea of collaboration and visual learning can be more successful than verbal at times.

I am a passionate and enthusiastic individual with a keen interest in developing new skills. Throughout my education and professional life I have been shown to be a dedicated and dependable worker, having built strong rapport with my colleagues and superiors alike.

Whilst studying for my TEFL course I have developed a variety of skills to utilize in a classroom. Most noted of these skills by the course leader were my eliciting skills and ability to set an appropriate context.

At University I have proven and refined my aptitude to self motivate and competency with long term planning and conveying information in a structured format. Despite it not being the central focus of my studies studying Psychology did give me an informed understanding on the learning process.

Outside of professional life I enjoy gaming and reading when I'm not socializing with friends. One activity that would be relevant to professional life in South Korean would be learning the language which I have been able to do both through self tutoring and through the support of a nearby language exchange group which I have been attending since mid-August of this year.

I am a 23 year old recent graduate currently living in Manchester, England. I have been working, part-time for the past 6 years, and full time for the past 18 months at Lloyds High Street Bank in the centre of Manchester.

Working for this amount of time at Lloyds has hugely developed my people and communication skills. Working in such a large city as Manchester with the diversity of culture and range of different people has given me an insight in to the way to approach and communicate with people from different cultural backgrounds. I have enjoyed the professionalism of working in a high priority bank but am now keen to take a dramatic change in career and move into teaching students overseas.
Studying at Leeds University has again been a great help to me creating relationships with brand new people. Becoming independent and relying on my individual social skills to live in a different city and make new friends has developed me into becoming an open, friendly approachable person.
Since leaving university, completing my TEFL course has been a top priority of mine as I am keen to move abroad and start a new adventure into teaching overseas. My TEFL course, along with shadowing one of my close friends when I am not working myself, who is currently a primary school teacher here in Manchester, has demonstrated to me how challenging but also fulfilling and worthwhile teaching, especially younger students really is. It is something that has absorbed my interest and motivated me to begin a new journey both into a different country and culture and also into a new profession.
The reason for my interest in choosing South Korea and in particular Seoul to begin my teaching career is down to the excitement and anticipation of the complete contrast in culture from the UK that Korea has to offer.
The difference in the public and private educational systems to that of the UK is something that interests me, from in classroom practices to the way in which traditional Korean holidays are celebrated by students and the communities in general. The food and fashion culture especially that expressed in Seoul, along with the vast technological advances draws my attention to teaching and living in the city.
Having always been based in major cities in the UK I am keen to get a taste of a frantic, electrifying Asian capital and offer students and peers an insight into my own culture of living in a northern, UK city. From languages, behaviours, teaching philosophies, sports and games.
I have researched the dramatic climate of Korea and although Seoul is busy and active, Korea still offers unbelievable landscapes and hiking opportunities outside of the city which is something I would be keen to get involved in.

My name is Michele Goh, I am currently 24 years old and I am from Canada. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Science. I am an energetic and dynamic person. I like being active and doing outdoor activities such as hiking, rock climbing, and biking. I currently have all my documents ready to apply for my E2 visa application. I could start ASAP or in October 2018.

I have one year teaching experience in South Korea, I had a great experience leading to a desire to continue teaching. I have taught curriculum basis on English skills, such as listening, reading, writing and speaking. Also I have developed and implemented weekly lesson plans which incorporated smart technology and hands on experiences. I have also taught TOEFL Jr. and TOEFL ibt, test taking strategies in all aspects in reading, listening, writing and speaking.

I have planned and implemented differentiated lessons for ESL students in Grades 3-8. I would prepare daily and weekly lesson plans as well as theme-based activities. Effectively maintained interest and provided an interactive atmosphere. I kept my students engaged with fun and exciting lessons by creating interactive activities or projects. Every week the students are given a collaborative group project, as a class we brainstorm, discuss and share their own ideas. The students enhance their ability in communication and critical thinking in English but as well as social interaction.

As a naturally enthusiastic and optimistic person who has worked in a variety of jobs and industries for the past 10 years, I have acquired a broad set of skills that equip me with the right tools to be a successful ESL teacher. My time working in the hospitality industry, from corporate driven to community owned organisations, gave me the opportunity express myself in a variety of roles including cook, bar man and waiter, which is evidence of my adaptability. Here I developed important interpersonal communication skills, working as part of a team in high intensity, quality-driven environments. As a sociable and courteous person, developing a good rapport with customers and colleague came naturally to me. My job role as an organic farming project manager in a sustainability NGO in India was highly autonomous in nature which developed my initiative; coupled with low-resource availability it allowed me to exhibit intuition and creativity. I showed flexibility and a willingness to be responsible when I took up coordinator positions at both centre and cross-regional project level, in which I assessed and evaluated project development and managed and mediated fellow interns. My time in India exposed me to an assortment of cultural and social norms different to my own as I engaged and collaborated with various sects of society. As a considerate and curious person this enhanced my cultural sensitivity and awareness which further aided me in communicating and working across cultural, social and linguistic barriers. Some of the projects I worked on in India included teaching in the classroom taught me aspects of classroom management. Finally, my achievement of a high 2:1 at the University of Leeds (founding member of Russel group – top 24 U.K universities) demonstrates my diligence and required acute time management to succeed.

Since the age of 15 I have had a large variety of part-time jobs which has enabled me to acquire a wide range of useful skills that can be applied to teaching. My ongoing job working as a bar supervisor involves communicating effectively with my team to ensure excellent customer service is delivered. Management of staff requires me to be flexible and adaptable to ensure the expectations of the team are met, even under high pressured situations. I remain patient when teaching new staff about the job role and I'm always friendly and willing to help with any questions or problems they might encounter. I also have experience as a teaching assistant in a UK nursery school. This involved interacting with the children to help them develop reading, writing and numeracy skills but also aiding the teachers with creative lesson plans to keep the children engaged. I thrived in this environment as I'm a very enthusiastic and optimistic person which enabled the children to be motivated to learn. Achieving a first-class honours in my master’s degree demonstrates that I am extremely hardworking but also can effectively plan and manage my time. I also studied in Australia for my third year of University which required me to be very independent and confident in a completely new situation.

Seeking economics, business and government teaching positions in high schools, colleges, and universities. Looking for an October 2018 start.

Recently taught Business & Economics studies to students a public high school in Hangzhou city, Zhejang, China. I taught 2 programs, preparing students to go to Australia and Canada. The Queensland (QCE) program allows students to study in China and then enter Australian universities with a Queensland high school diploma. The Canadian program is 2 years in China and the final year in Canada. They are accumulating credits for an Ontario, Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). They will complete their grade 12 studies in Canada and enter Canadian universities.

2 years ago I worked at Nanjing foreign language school, in Nanjing City, China. The school is a top 10 school in all of China. I taught A2 students, IBDP 1 year, and IGCSE students. Most completed exams in May and June 2017. In 2015 to 2016 school year I taught and prepared students for the AP micro and macroeconomics exams in May 2016 as well as the NCUK economics and business studies exams in June 2016.

From March 2012 to September 2014 I taught business administration studies at Dankook University in Cheonan, South Korea (ROK). In that role the courses I designed and taught were: Economics, Environmental Economics, , E Business, International Business Law, Math, M.I.S., International Business Management, Business Presentations & Academic Writing, Business Communications Skills, Management Studies and World History for our department. From 1996 to 2012 taught EFL in the Republic of Korea (12 Yrs.), Taiwan (2 months), the U.A.E. (1 Yr.) and Saudi Arabia (1 Yr.).

I'm interested in teaching & management, especially developing and implementing the following: business studies, economics, political science, and social science courses. Other courses include: government & governance, sustainability and global studies, EAP and ESP courses. I'm also interested in corporate training especially teaching business communications, presentation techniques, negotiations strategies and effective communications for professional people.

I have a BA Hons in Theatre Arts (Acting), and several summer camps for children with a local church as well as work experience in a primary school during my secondary school and university years. I have participated in many theatre productions, inside and outside of school and university, not only as an actor but production roles as well. I performed for seven weeks at the MAC theatre in Belfast with professional children’s theatre company, Cahoots NI where we performed an original musical Henry the Incredible Book eating Boy. As Captain to my school’s hockey team for two years, I have strong leadership skills and teamworking skills which came into practice when I completed my Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme in 2010. As doing 120+ hour TEFL course with TEFL.org , I developed the skills to not only teach English to all ages but how to do so in an relaxed yet exciting environment that the students will be happy to learn in.

As noted in my C.V, my competencies and capabilities are strongly in line with the requirements to be an EFL teacher. I would believe myself to be a determined and strong willed person but I can also show patience and understanding. I am an outgoing and adventurous individual and I enjoy going places with my family and friends. I am a committed team player and enjoy working with people from all different communities and cultures; my work in Ryanair allows and enables me to become friends with people from all over the world. My name is Megan Stone and I am 24 years old. I have a BSc in Medical Genetics from Queen Mary University of London and I recently completed a 150 hour TEFL qualification. I have experience working with children and have found it very rewarding.
Over the past year I have been working towards teaching in Korea. This goal has driven not just by my desire to teach but also by an interest in Korean culture. I spend a large amount of my time listening to Korean music, watching Korean shows and watching videos about Korean culture. Teaching in Korea would give me the opportunity to experience a culture that I have been interested in for a long time. Outside of Korean culture my main interests include reading novels, playing board games and escape rooms. I am conscientious and hard working. I have experience of working to deadlines, often on complex projects where attention to detail is important. I am a keen problem solver and work well in teams. I am considered a compassionate person who gets on well with my colleagues. I have had a passion for teaching and working with children from a young age: during my time at Hobart High School I spent a week on a work experience placement as a teaching assistant, and I also volunteered my lunch breaks to act as a reading mentor for younger students.

My academic subjects have vastly improved my written/communicative skills, understand various current and historical cultures, while allowing me to intellectually grow.

During my Masters and Undergraduate studies I worked full time, in a fast food restaurant and as a logistics assistant, allowing me to develop a strong work ethic. This has developed me into a driven individual and to have a balance of working leisure. Currently I have been working as an agency staff as an administrative officer for the Ministry of Justice – brooding my perspectives and getting a better understanding of judicial and administration aspect of work.

In describing my personality the word that comes to mind is active. This is due to my confident and positive nature. But, also my desire to learn, understand and interact with others while always actively working hard to achieve my goals. This teaching role would be a great opportunity to share this energy with others, especially young children, as I know personally of the importance of learning more languages to be able to communicate more with the world and open more opportunities! My qualifications, personality and the experience I have gained make me a suitable candidate for the English teacher role and I feel that I would be a positive influence on the children.

Dear Sir, Madam,

I am a recent graduate of Business Management from Edinburgh Napier University, (online), and in combination with achieving a TEFL qualification, I have been looking for opportunities to make a career change into a business orientated role or an English Teaching role Internationally.

I have been in the security industry for over ten years, however I am seeking a career that will allow me to put my business qualifications to use, whilst also having the opportunity to work with people internationally and pass on my English speaking skills.

I have had the opportunity to work closely with colleagues from various different ethnicities, for example Sierra Leone and Iraq, and so I am knowledgeable of the sensitivities involved with different religions and cultures and can confidently mix with others.

I have the confidence in my ability to be able to say, with hard work and drive, I would be successful in this role. I signed up for the Royal Marines because I loved the outdoors and fitness aspect, however I have always felt capable of doing much more than my role required.

As a former Royal Marine, I am punctual, honest, and I have integrity and discipline. I am therefore also a team player and can work under pressure. I work hard to produce good results in any task, I have a keen eye for detail and I feel I am particularly good at writing reports. Also, in line with various security company procedures over the years, I have consistently throughout my career been randomly tested for drugs and alcohol, and asked to provide background disclosure checks. I currently have security clearance with the UK Ministry of Defence to be able to work in this current position.

Should you consider me not suitable for the role of English teacher, I would be grateful if you may consider me for other roles, possibly as English teacher or Sports teacher, (I am a keen sportsman with an interest in football, Muaythai, running and cycling).
