Hello, my name is Ava Nolan, I am 26 and I am a fully qualified primary school teacher from Ireland. I graduated from Dublin City University in 2022 with a Bachelor of Education. I have a deep interest in learning about the world around me, I have spent the past year travelling around Asia and Australia and I love to meet new people and to learn about new places, cultures and traditions.
I spent the last three years teaching full time in a range of different schools and settings. I have experience teaching in multigrade classes, mainstream classes and in an Autism Class. My experience has given me knowledge and insight into supporting many different learners and supporting students with additional needs. I have experience developing long and short term plans for a range of different classes both in the senior and junior end of primary school.
As a teacher, I focus greatly on hands-on, active learning, incorporating students' interests into my lessons and ensuring that learning opportunities are both motivating and inclusive for all. I have a strong interest in Universal Design for Learning and I believe that it is of utmost importance as a teacher to ensure all students have multiple means to access learning. My main goal each day in class is to provide all students with a positive, motivating, fair and creative classroom environment.
The opportunity to work in a school in an international school here in South Korea would be such a wonderful experience for me. I have always wanted the opportunity to teach abroad and I love to learn about the world around me. I have a great interest in education and I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to be part of your school community, to learn from colleagues and to collaborate and share my ideas, interests and passion for teaching and learning.
I specialised in Drama Education while I was in university. I regularly integrate drama education into many different subject areas as I find that can be a meaningful and creative lens to access learning through.
I have a strong interest in teaching English and bring valuable experience in supporting with students for whom English is an additional language. My teaching experience has provided me with opportunities to develop my skills as a teacher in both planning and providing inclusive, inquiry based, hands on learning experiences for my students that support their overall reading, writing and oral language skills.
I am a fair, dedicated, creative and positive teacher. I highly value working collaboratively with students, colleagues and parents. I would love the opportunity to discuss my interests, hobbies and experience more with you and greatly appreciate you considering my application to be part of your school community for 2026/2027.
