I studied childcare in college for 1 year and worked at 3 different placements during this time. Between the ages of 6 months to 7 years. This involved monitoring children during their activities and play, planning some lessons such as gathering and creating printouts of work sheets. Setting up play areas for group fun. Decorating the classroom for events such as Christmas and Easter holidays. Painting children’s story characters on windows and creating displays for work to be shown on and rewards. Talking with parents on how their children are doing and improving in classes. Going on day trips with the classes. Outdoor play to involve the children in nature and expand their senses and knowledge outside the room with physical activity. I am an outgoing and friendly person, I enjoy getting involved in things where I can and making friends with people that I meet. I strive to learn new things where I can and push myself to do better in tasks that are new to me to build up my skills.
