Patience: I am a very patient person when it comes to demonstrating/teaching a new concept to a colleague that has no prior knowledge of this concept. My roles in finance have helped me develop this strength as I trained new starters that don’t have a finance background before which required me to be patient and recap any topics they did not understand with them until they gained an understanding of said topic.
Time management: I meet tight deadlines in my current role as I have to prepare tax returns for multiple different tax authorities on a monthly basis. In order to meet these deadlines, I have to organise multiple different pieces of work and work on multiple tasks simultaneously while managing my time well each day.
Communication: I have good communication skills, whether that be reading, writing, listening or speaking. I can effectively communicate with clients/customers, colleagues, managers and children.
Sociable: I am an approachable, kind and caring person who looks forward to meeting new people and enjoys conversation.
Teamwork: I am a great team player, helping out colleagues with workloads as well as doing overtime in my tax role when needed.
Leadership: I have led team presentations in economics at University. I co-ordinated what topics to research as well as doing a lot of the talking. Presentation went smoothly, attaining a 1st class grade.
